Worth buying, great product, durable

I got this set of Tombow Brush Pens four years ago after trying them out at an art retreat. I really liked them and use them often in my shop. (Animal portraits and illustrations.) I made some great drawings with Tombows, while I was able to develop more depth and fusion with the pencils. I almost exclusively use brush tips. Some of them are now starting to age a bit after long use. I have two that have also started to dry out. A friend told me a great way to rehydrate so I'll give it a try…

Pros and cons but still 5 stars for me

Love these paint markers except a few are dry! Everything else was perfect and easy to use. I use them in adult coloring books and freehand drawing. Regarding the stand, 3 comments: (1) Yes, it holds the handles ok, but I had trouble aligning the handles when placing them in the slots. them back to stand. Each feather goes through the top slot and then needs to line up with the corresponding bottom slot or your next feathers won't go in when you cross the slots below. It makes sense!? (2) I…

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time

  • Not as thick as the others

Colors Amazing!

Have been using Uchida Brands watercolor pencils since 2003 but this brand blows them out of the park with such intense colours. They are easy to use, odorless and the variety of blues, greens and purples is just beautiful and vibrant. The red tones Warm Red 885, Red 905, Scarlet 925 are unfortunately more orange than red. The other reds included in this set are bright and vibrant. Actually very nice. Of the 108 colors sold by Tombow, this set contains 96, one of which is a colorless mixer. I…

Wonderful! No problem

I was a little skeptical of some reviews that mentioned open/used/dry/worn markers but this was such a good suggestion and these reviews are almost 2 years old old . I decided to try it, fully prepared, I had the opportunity to go through the return process. I was also nervous because it was in the 90's and I was concerned it would affect the markers. My box arrived sealed but with some signs of light storage wear. Definitely warm from the heat but cools down to room temperature quickly. The…

  • Includes 96 colors including clear blender and tabletop stand
Cons
  • Slightly torn

I was very happy that all the pens were in there.

Despite my initial fears that the product's sticker had already been tampered with, I was delighted to find that all the pens were in the box, with no duplicates or missing colors. As mentioned in many other reviews, the holder is flimsy and the handles come out of the sides slightly; I can't imagine using it for long before moving them to another container. However, I didn't buy this set because of the plastic holder and I have nothing but praise for the pens themselves. get a while. When…

Tombow vs. Copics:

I have used markers extensively over the years and have purchased both this set of Tombow markers and a similar set of Copic markers. Anyone who has been hiding in the world of markers on the internet for a very long time knows that Copic are widely regarded as the best pens money can buy (they are by far the most expensive) and that few other pens compete be able. In fact, many other marker brands are ranked based on how they compare to Copics, which I'll do for this review :) I know a lot of…
