I have been using this product at an animal shelter I work with for six years. We use it when "skinnies" come to us who need special care. I also just used it on my personal kitty who was very ill and wasn't eating. She ate it right away!

Nice in theory, but not very practical. Our cat loves the hairball paste so we thought she would love it. Not as much! It is very liquid and slightly sticky. I don't know if she doesn't like the taste or the texture, but she won't eat it either way.

My cat won't eat it, it's thick and sticky like a hairball cure. Tried solo she said no Tried to hide in turkey still said no. Tried filling it up with a syringe and forcing it to eat but it's so sticky it wants to stick to the end instead of staying in the mouth. I had high hopes, but I'm running out of ideas.

Find out. I know at this age they love broth/gravy so this works. So if yours doesn't take it from the tube just add it to food and add liquids.

Incredibly long-lasting fragrance. This makes it difficult to mix with food without changing its consistency, and almost impossible to mask the smell once it's added to a dish. In my experience, it was difficult to put a kitten with CKD on a diet because it would categorically refuse to eat anything it touched. I'm sure it may have nutritional benefits for less picky cats.

Bought for my old cat who unfortunately got cancer towards the end of her days and has stopped eating. He licked it off and it gave him some nourishment to keep him going for a few more weeks. Before anyone thinks we've done anything wrong, we haven't and are following the vets' recommendations. When his quality of life deteriorated, we acted humanely. This product helped him at the end of his life. I would highly recommend it to anyone else in the same situation.

Amazing cat health product. Stick a needle through your cat's gums so she can lick it off. This is my choice for cats that have a hairball, won't eat, appear sick or thin. Vitamin paste is high-calorie, dark, thick, nutritious; and revives her very quickly. They can say that this is exactly what they need. Great for extra health. Better still, as a backup trick to cure her of her illness. That's a vet in the tube for sure.

My cat has an eating disorder and sometimes it's the difference between hunger and life. He has periods of refusal to eat, then eats normally, throws up about once a week, and then refuses to eat again, so his weight can go up and down. Luckily he's the only cat, so I know exactly what he's eating. Recommended for this reason, it also lists the nutrient content. Sometimes (like this week) I have to put the mouthwash on him and let him lick it. Yes, cats will own you.

When our senior cat stopped eating a lot, we had to do something to increase her calorie content. After trying different foods and cat milk to no avail, I decided to give this one a try. She wasn't just a pasta fan. Through experimentation, I've found that if you mix 1/2 teaspoon of pasta into a tablespoon of hot water and then pour the resulting "gravy" onto 2-3 tablespoons of wet food, she will eat it.
