Purchased to help see soldering joints on 3D Printer

The lens looks great at 10X magnification, but the light didn’t work at all, tried in two different outlets that I know work and just defective. Returning for a replacement, hopefully not defective.I have seen other reviews which state the light is defective. Maybe they keep shipping out the same Defective product, what they should do is to verify the issue with the lights and address the root issue for a real fix. Quality Control needs to improve.

Great lamp for the money !

I have worked with fluorescent magnifying lamps before and this one by far better than those. I like I can dim the light and can select between daylight, warm light or a combination of both. The only drawback is the piece of metal that goes into the base as it is not a solid rod but if cared properly can last some years. Also, the clarity of the glass is superb. Can not go wrong for the money I spent. Will recommend to anyone that is in need of tht kind of lamp.

Very good product best in my review

I have it on my desk, the clamp works great to stabilize it, you can bend it to where you need it without a worry that it will fall. Multiple light settings is a plus and it has a dimmer. Magnifying glass works great, couldn’t ask for anything better in my opinion

Light Stopped Working <2 hours of use

Needed this for making small electronics and musical instrument repairs. The light stopped working with under 2 hours of use.

  • Bright light. Good magnification. Smaller than my older one I am replacing.

  • Plugged it in and the controller burnt out. May be a fluke but very disappointing.

Good quality and price point.

All metal construction where it counts. Compact with reasonable range of motion and the optics are very good allowing adequate space beneath the glass to work on small assemblies. Three color temperatures of light with variable intensity which work well. I'll be using it for watch repair and for that purpose, it should shine (sorry.).

Kinda tricky to use

The set up is super simple. Basically it seems as if I have to maneuver a lot to get the nail in the right position to see it correctly while I’m doing Nailz. Looking in from the far left or the far right up on the nails are difficult. naturally it’s my Blindspot and that’s why I bought it but I didn’t think it was going to be difficult looking into the magnifying glass in those far left and far right spots and still having to squint. So incredibly useful!

I bought this to help me see better when tying flies for fishing. I use it for that and so much more. It makes it simple to read tiny print and directions and I always know where it is.

I use this for scrimshawing. The only problem is the arms length needed a third arm about 8”and I believe it would be 5 stars for me.
