Description of 𧱠Masonry Impact Performance Tools 1870541
Built for maximum durability and long life with impact drivers. Innovative pressed carbide tip with aggressive cutting angles for faster drilling and longer bit life. One-piece construction withstands higher torque loads than standard quick-change bits. Black oxide finish resists corrosion and increases life of bit.
Bought this drill bit to attach battens to a concrete block wall with cement screws and was very impressed with the cutting speed. and how well it cleaned the cut material. Due to the ease of use, this product is highly recommended.
Pros
One piece construction withstands higher torsional loads than standard quick change bits
You'd think the 4" drill bit advertised would drill a hole over 2" deep, but this bit says it does on the packaging (actually 2-1/8". ). If you only want a 2" hole this will work, if you want deeper this won't work. I wanted to pre-drill 2-1/2" concert nails in old concrete, so this drill bit proved useless.
Pros
Built for maximum reliability and long life with impact tools
I've been installing seamless gutters for a lifetime and I use these 1/8" masonry drill bits to drill a pilot hole in grout so I can have them installed somewhere of downspouts and this is by far the worst bit ever for my second hole which was drilled in one of the softest mortars which I think chipped both carbide tips rendering them unusable. I'll upload picture tomorrow
Pros
Black oxide coating resists corrosion and increases bit life
