Exceptional value for a budget recorder

Considering the Toshiba DVD is less than $100 I think it's exceptionally cheap. In my case it does everything I need. It has a variety of outputs including component, S-Video and HDMI and I use all three. It also has a coaxial (digital) audio output, which my old unit didn't have - twice the price. Operation is easy. Just in case, I put in a DVD+RW that my Sony recorder had partially formatted before it crashed, and Toshiba formatted it quickly with no problems. It's not cheap. Simply Affordable

PRO: The DR420 DVD/Recorder is one of the best electronics purchases I've ever made. User friendly, it's back to basics. When it comes to audio/video equipment, simple is best. The DR420 has a slim design and is less than 2 inches thick. I also have the DR410 and like it a little better than the 420. One option was Comcast's $10/month DVR (which allows movies to be recorded on demand and transferred to a computer for disc burning or not). Another option was to use a computer with a video capture device and record to a hard drive. The third option was this $110 device, Revain shipping is the most practical choice. Although this…

From Dazed and Confused to Completely Satisfied

If you've been researching DVD recorders like I have been lately, you've come across a lot of mostly conflicting information. I used to have a Toshiba DVD recorder at home which had a long and productive life in my house and when it died I started looking for another one. I started looking at all brands, models and prices. So here's what I need. I needed a basic DVD burner that would allow me to make archival DVD copies, home videos, etc. I also wanted to use it to play DVDs and upscale…
