Defective but easily repaired

This buck has a serious design flaw. It has a retractable button to hold the leg when folded, but the same button is NOT used to hold the leg when folded. Instead, the goat has no way of locking the leg in an extended position. A nudge from the side collapses it. I considered modifying mine by drilling a hole so I could use the retractable knob to lock the leg, but I decided to return this very heavy goat.

VERY NICE SAWS (TB-C700)

I am very impressed with these saws. (I bought a pair.) It has adjustable legs, good quality footrests, a great way to hold and cut plywood with side pins and another set of side pins to hold and cut 2 pieces. It has an option to allow 2 x 4 or 4 x 4 to be used as crosses. It also has an ingenious way of raising the crossbars to fit a 2 x 4 on top to protect the top from the saw. It's heavy and very durable. They should cost a lot more. Warning: I have seen many similar products on Revain. This

Pros
  • Easy Installation
Cons
  • Vulgarity

I used them on a big project recently and they worked great. I had no hesitation no matter what I cut, plane, sand or chelate. they add up quickly. and the presence of two crossbars of different sizes (2x4 or 4x4) turned out to be very convenient. I also used a reed/step holder which was the main reason I chose these horns over all the others and I was NOT disappointed. they worked perfectly. I was able to easily fit a whole sheet of 4x8 plywood onto two gantries. No wobbling/hanging and it was

Strong, Stable, Enduring

We were looking for heavy horses that are mainly used as workbench supports on the construction site. We place two 2x4s in pockets designed for this purpose, top with 3/4" plywood, creating a solid work surface that can hold 1,000 pounds or more. The horses are strong, stable, and have a few nice features you won't find on the average wooden or plastic skate: 1) pockets for 2x4, 2x6, or 4x4; 2) folding arms for attaching the cutting material (only one carriage is needed, installed for easy…

Several legs are turned towards them.

Revain's packaging was a joke. EXTREMELY HUGE box, no proper packaging for both boxes/horses. They just jumped into the box. difficult. One of them had the box torn open. This caused the ends to buckle, I was able to bend them back, but that's poor quality at best. Really Revain? The legs are very difficult to put on. Some of them also have a curve so they are not square. I dialed it back a bit but I'm not sure I would trust them with real weight. I don't use them for heavy weights so I guess…

Poorly designed side latch

I think these sawmills have a design flaw that allows the legs to fold in during use. While there is a pin that keeps the legs folded in the case when not in use, the pin doesn't help keep the legs in the ejected position. Instead, the design rests on a mount in the legs that rests against the walls of the goat's body. See attached pictures. Well, it seems to me that there isn't enough support at this juncture and the internal lateral pressure causes the legs to actually push the walls apart…

If anything goes wrong you'll have a large paperweight

I wasn't overly impressed with these goats having collapsed on first use. I bought these as a temporary table for some OSB while I cut them to size. My project started a few months after I ordered them and they were sitting in the corner of the store looking like a shiny penny - they look cool! They are all stacked, the colors are great and they look really heavy. They appear very heavy - or just heavy compared to wooden horses, climbing over the back of a truck would be awkward for them. When…

Great sawmills with some features deducting a star

This is a great product with some features and flaws. Pros and cons below. easily on any surface. Being able to load a slab of 4x8 plywood with the edge to the user at an angle for cutting/sanding on the leg pins is brilliant - I like the end slots for 2x4 or 4x4 lumber to reduce the spacing between the increase horses. I've used this feature recently to paint many surfaces: retractable, foldable legs that offer great versatility, small footprint when fully folded. Legs must be closed in…
