This is a genuine Toyota part so of course it fits perfectly. Installation was pretty easy. My only caveat is that it makes a mess when the drain tool snaps into place at the bottom of the filter housing. I will buy a separate tool for this. One with brass fitting and attached hose. That should get rid of the mess of oil running down my arm. I'm glad the kit comes with the required o-rings so you can change them every time you change the filter.

While one can never be sure of something as hidden as an oil filter, this is an OEM filter. I don't like canister oil filters because you have to deal with the filter element after it's been exposed to dirty oil. It's messy and not as easy to use as the old school metal filters. I wish Toyota would stop using them but I'm sure it cuts the cost and they will claim it's the best oil filter system which can only be proven when your car is older and has driven a lot of miles .

While I don't like the new cartridge filters (screw-on types are quicker and easier to install), this OEM filter has a much better quality cartridge o-ring than the filter purchased I fram filter and NAPA. This is important as cheaper o-rings can easily kink or twist during installation, causing leaks. The Toyota o-ring is made from a high quality material that will hold its shape and stay in place during installation so I don't have to worry about leaks.
