I use my laptop on my lap almost all the time. The direct power connection was constantly under load and gradually failed. I often didn't notice it until I got a low battery warning. This really annoyed me and I think that the constant "torque" on the connection could end up damaging either the USB-c port on the laptop or the USB-c port itself. Product failure less than 6 weeks. The laptop no longer loads immediately after closing the return window. I tried both orientations, wobbled in the other port as well. That does not work. My old charger that I finally found works, so it's not the laptop. I bought this for Lenovo Yoga 720. The product was purchased from S SKstyle Inc. I plan to contact you. Why should we take the risk that 5% to 10% of these Chinese products fail in less than a year, often beyond repair?

The computer connector is flush and doesn't stick out straight. I like it. OEM will bend and get in the way. As long as it's really comfortable. It's easier too. A disadvantage. Every time you download or connect, you get a pop-up saying HP products are better. Manageable but annoying. 4 star rating based on 3 weeks of use. Several others have commented on durability. Had to replace the charger that came with my Yoga 720. This helped with not too high costs. I'll update if I run into any issues, but it's actually exactly the same as the original (except for the velcro for the extra chord), with a fairly minor difference (imo) in the angle of the C connector.

I have ordered this item before and had no problems with it. When I bought this second one it fell apart a week ago. In the end, the last item I received was unreliable and poorly finished. I'd like to think it was just an outlier considering I had no issues with my first purchase, but I can't say for sure.
