Good thing . EDITED 8 Jan 19 for an update review and pics

After reading reviews of various grappling and throwing dummies on revain, YouTube and martial arts web sites. I decided to order the 90lb dummy over the 70lb because I wanted to be sure to get a weight I knew would challenge me. I was also afraid that the 70lb would be to short (5'4") for me, even though I am only 5'6". I received the dummy through UPS and it came in a large cardboard box. I used a large 2 wheel dolly to take it into my basement where my workout area is located. Good…

Pros
  • Everything I expected
Cons
  • Limited range of motion compared to an actual opponent

Very Durable Bag of Garbage in the Shape of a Human

If modified, can work alright. I'm glad to have this; for the price it is worth it. Durable cover but filled with funky fabric scraps, some garbage (including glass and Betelnut wrappers), and rubber scraps (probably to control weight). I gave it open chest surgery and removed the rubber, and the bamboo leg bones. After adding some old bed sheets, it is a nice weight and softer to get your body around. Seams and fabric are durable enough to outlast my homemade dummy, which I tore the arms off…

Pros
  • ‎17 x 17 x 75 inches
Cons
  • May not simulate the adrenaline and stress of real combat situations

Great for working out with.

Like most of the other reviews, I too found it hilarious watching it be delivered. In my case, it was unboxed or packaged so it was merely the dummy that was delivered. The funny part was that the hands were bound with rope so I can only imagine what my neighbors must have thought. My only issue was the very sticky shipping label that was affixed to the dummy. Otherwise, it is great for working out with. Its definitely a dead weight so dont let the weight fool you; it's very heavy!

Pros
  • Nylon construction
Cons
  • Can be cumbersome to store and transport

A True Glutton for Punishment

I started practicing Judo and needed a dummy to throw around, and I am glad I found this one. I weigh 150 pounds and got the 140-pound one, needing realistic resistance. At first it was hard lifting off the ground, tossing it, and lifting it again, but after several weeks of practice, it got easier. Great for throwing but terrible for joint locks and submissions. Also, it makes for a great makeshift weight to bench press, or squats when carrying it on your shoulders, as well as a victim when…

Pros
  • Full out training sessions without the risk of injuring your training partner
Cons
  • May not be compatible with all types of mats or flooring

New Sparring Partner

I am 127lbs so I got a 70lb dummy. That was good enough for me. I am glad i didn't get any heavier. I almost bought the 90lb. I like practicing my double legs and fireman carries with this thing. Also get to practice ground striking. If its 2am and I feel like I need to blow off some steam i throw around this guy. It helps a lot with Judo throws because it helps me with getting my feet in the right place when I want to execute a throw. It helps me with getting used to figuring out my opponent's

Pros
  • ‎Combat Sports
Cons
  • Can be awkward to mount or grapple with due to its size and shape

Didn’t like for jiu Jitsu

I see a lot of people using this as a heavy bag. For That purpose I could see the value. I already have a heavy bag that’s 90 pounds so that was not why I purchased it. The durability of this is unquestionable. The problem is it’s hard to use for certain techniques and jujitsu such as darse chokes, anaconda chokes, etc. Reason being it’s just too stiff. It’s difficult to get into the positions and make the transitions. For example if you try to do a darse choke on this thing is so stiff it’s…

Pros
  • Great for 11 yer old to train BJJ with.
Cons
  • Impersonal, lacks the unpredictability of training with a real person

Good strong heavy duty training dummy

Good strong heavy duty training dummy. Very durable and can withstand a powerful spin wheel kick with tennis shoes. I use it to practice stand up western boxing and then close in with elbows and knees in the clinch. I finish my workout with the idea that the fight progresses to the ground and initiate a wrestling take down with an arm bar conclusion assuming I'm only figthing one oppenent! Of course, dummies don't fight back, but it serves as a great training tool because you can't simply go…

Pros
  • Wrestling Dummies
Cons
  • Can lead to bad habits if used as a sole training tool

Overfilled and Arms Too Short, Can Injure.

The bag is solid and is of good quality. Unfortunately the arms are just too short. If you throw the bag by the arms I'd recommend you do your best to stay standing up or release the bag before landing on it. The grips needed to throw with these short arms place your own arm in a way that can compromise your shoulder. Also the neck and waist do not articulate at all due to the bag being over stuffed, this can cause someone to lamd on their shoulder or elbow rather than the back of the dummy…

Pros
  • Great for advanced practitioners, kicking, punching, blocking. Or grappling...like judo practices
Cons
  • Requires a lot of space to use effectively

All around great workout.

This dummy is really great. I didn't have time to go to my MMA gym or the gym because i am a 21yr old college student and work full time. So i bought a bunch of exercise equipment like this dummy, jump ropes, elliptical machine, dumbbells etc, and i have to say using this dummy is my favorite workout. It really gives you the feel of dropping somebody on he ground so its great for practicing MMA and wrestling moves, but it is also good for weight lifting because i put it over my shoulders and do

Pros
  • ‎Ringside Inc.
Cons
  • May not simulate true body position and weight distribution

120 lb Grappling Dummy

It's not a bad grappling dummy if you want to do simple wrestling or grappling however its not recommended if you want to do BJJ or any martial art that involves the manipulation of limbs. I tried Judo with this grappling dummy and it's doable but the thick arms can be quite annoying. Overall this is a great product with all due respect. The product so far does it's intended job and I really can't complain too much. It's not meant to replace REAL mma training, it's just a tool to use to get…

Pros
  • Durability
Cons
  • Not suitable for drilling or practicing striking combinations

exceeded expectations

thought I would have to wait about a week or 2 but instead got it in two days. Product itself is great. I got the 70ibs and its sufficient to replicate body weight in rolling bjj

Pros
  • Realistic training: With its lifelike design, the Combat Sports Grappling Dummy is ideal for realistic training sessions. It allows you to simulate real-life scenarios and practice your moves in a controlled environment
Cons
  • Can encourage over-dependence on a tool rather than actual live training partners

Great for training when you can't make it to the gym

felt bad for the delivery man who had to deliver this, I am almost positive it weighs more than 90 lbs but no complaints, not the best for training chokes or legit arm bars but you can get the flow and movement down, I like to use it when I am sick and can't go train, I pull this out and can work on transitions and pressure over and over, very sturdy and can withstand a lot of abuse!

Pros
  • Sports & Outdoors
Cons
  • Can be time-consuming to set up and adjust for each training session

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Useless for BJJ for my opinion

Sad because I thought this had great reviews. Arms don’t bend and are positioned in front of the body (chest), which makes drilling awkward. Even striking is difficult because arms stick out and get in the way. Arm bars and knee on belly are unrealistic. Triangles and back takes won’t work. Legs don’t fold so forget closed guard stuff. Delivery was great, though, no complaints about the seller.

Pros
  • With its adjustable height and weight, you can customize your training to suit your individual needs. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced athlete, the Combat Sports Grappling Dummy can be adjusted to meet your unique requirements
Cons
  • May not be durable enough for heavy or extended use

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Wish I would have gotten a heavier one

Overall love it wish the arms weren't so close but besides that it's great for Greco-Roman and takedown work and if u just wanna train strength this things great. I ordered the 90 pound i wish I would have gotten the 140

Pros
  • Other Team Sports
Cons
  • Can cause bruising or injury to the user over extended use

Returned but super high quality

I ended up returning this item because it wouldn't meet my needs for BJJ gi training. however, giving 4 stars because the quality is legit, it's durable, and it arrived quickly. This is a great dummy for grappling/judo, but for me and what I want to drill, it wouldn't work. Great product though.

Pros
  • ‎Vinyl
Cons
  • May be difficult to perform certain techniques due to the shape of the dummy

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Its very versatile and tough perfect for quarantine training

Bought it for bjj and ground and pound. But it worked as a heavy bag standing up as well. If you dont have a place to hang a heavy bag this is a good alternative.

Pros
  • ‎Combat Sports 70 lb. Legged Grappling Dummy
Cons
  • Not suitable for unorthodox grappling techniques or moves

Revainrating 5 out of 5

90 pounds a bit light

I've got the 90 pounds one and overall I am satisfied with it. My weight is 200+ pounds and I think some more weight will be better, but its OK. After a couple of throws the 40 dead-body kilos started being noticed. The only critique is that those arms make it impossible to fit a gi on them, I tried an A4 and it will not fit.

Pros
  • Versatility
Cons
  • May be too heavy or cumbersome for some users to handle

Revainrating 5 out of 5

For a wrestler in my review

I bought it for a 90 pound wrestler, it is a little heavy for him but he will be able to use it for a long time. Does not provide the resistance of training with a live opponent.

Pros
  • ‎Dummy
Cons
  • Does not provide the resistance of training with a live opponent

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Heavy enough for my opinion

I hAve had no time to test too much but trust me 70lb is enough dead weight I almost did 120-140 whatever and I’m sooo glad I didn’t it’s like 70 is man sized the rest is just superfluous

Pros
  • ‎70 LB
Cons
  • May not be suitable for beginners due to lack of instruction or guidance

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This is a god send: my feedback

Through my rise and fall he’s been my only friend. He’s non judgmental, easy going, doesn’t have ulterior motives. Built durably, the stitching is still strongly attached under extremely heavy usage. This easily goes down as one of my greatest financial investments. No joke

Pros
  • ‎Synthetic
Cons
  • Can be intimidating or confusing for some users
