Too expensive for a box of candles with quite a few duds in it. 8 of them didn't work no matter what brand of battery I used! Luckily I bought two boxes and ended up having enough to use at my daughter's Harry Potter birthday party. I was just disappointed that we had to throw away so much!

Would give 5 stars but one candle didn't fit. Worked great for making floating candles for Harry Potter's birthday party! Didn't have time to try and return and didn't contact the seller about a faulty item. Very happy with how well it worked out and the kids loved it. And you can stick it to the top of the flame without damaging it.

They arrived quickly. They look nice but are a little heavy for hanging from the ceiling and weigh 2 AA batteries each. We got it working and I think it was cheaper than some of the lighter options. For Harry Potter fun, maybe use lighter LEDs. But they are suitable for installing candlesticks. Not much light but nice enough view

Worked great for the floating candle effect on our Harry Potter birthday with fishing line. They only turn on when the batteries are in and they screw on tight, so we screwed them on tight enough to hold the batteries and tightened them when it got dark. There was no timer, no remote control to control them. Just unscrew the bottom when we were ready to turn them off. But overall I'm satisfied.

During the Christmas season our adult choir sings a total of 18 hours of night songs over several weeks. These candles give us the "look" of old-fashioned carol singers without the hassle of a real flame. They're plastic, and two of the 24 actually broke - the part that unscrews has snapped so it can't be screwed in tight enough to light the candle. The other just never worked. acceptable price.

I bought this set for some candle holders but after receiving them and seeing what they look like and how much they weigh with batteries I ordered a second set to use as floating candles one of the tables to use at the party. There's no remote control or timer, but a quick twist of the base tightens or loosens the battery compartment, easily turning them on and off. Really make everything look good without having to worry about open flames.

This is Harry Potter's birthday present. They did the trick but I wouldn't recommend them. There is no easy way to hang them (the string had to be taped to the top to keep them in place). They also require 2 AA batteries each. This makes them very difficult to hang up. And there is no ON/OFF switch, so you have to put the batteries in immediately when you hang it up, and the batteries have to be taken out to turn it off (by unscrewing the bottom). Perfect, perfect, perfect for our Harry Potter/Hogwarts theme party! I ordered 3 boxes of 12 but only used 2 boxes (24 candles). We drilled a small hole in the top (pictured) to thread the fishing line through and hung the candles from the ceiling with command hooks.
