I thought this SSD would fit in my 2014 Macbook Pro but when I put it in my machine it wouldn't read. Took it to Apple and they couldn't get it to work either. I sent it back and got a full refund very quickly. I can't say exactly what the problem is; Maybe there was a bad SSD, maybe it was incompatible or there could be another problem in my laptop. Anyhow, I appreciate the easy returns and the fact that there is no restocking fee. While this didn't solve my problem, I still give it 5 stars.

The problem is that Disk Utility doesn't see the drive as connected. I tried twice, is it the same because it's not formatted? When it comes to formatting, what tools are needed?
