I regret the purchase so much!

Okay, that's USB 2.0. But this thing is SO SLOW to copy! My hard drive is 90% EMPTY so nothing is loaded on it. When I tested it, it only got 25% in over 2 hours! I used to use Drive Wire from Apricorn and it made a full clone in less than an hour! Both of my drive wires have died after many years of perfect service and are no longer manufactured. Their current solution is an adapter for 2.5" SATA drives only. I don't know what to do. Any ideas? Thanks very much!

I felt like reading something in China

Nonsense. First, the power cord is too short to connect. Even after I had a long enough cable to connect it to, the drives were not recognized by the computer. The instruction manual is a joke! First, you need a magnifying glass to read it. Although connecting to the device is very obvious to anyone in their right mind, I felt I should consult the manual as a last resort. After downloading a copy of the manual from the Internet, I felt like I was reading something in China. Very confusing and…

Works as promised: Computer and accessories

I've read several reviews of products that connect IDE drives to a PC via a USB port. ports and drives. This product had the fewest reviews but they were all positive and being familiar with Tripp Lite products I decided to take a chance. I'm glad I did. Received the unit today and got it working with two 2.5" laptop drives and one 3.5" desktop drive. The device worked perfectly with all three. I haven't used the included disk cloning software, so I can't report this.

  • Finally bought it

Love this product - my old files were pulled from a dead laptop

My gateway laptop is broken. Now there is an HP laptop. I took the old drive out of the gateway, plugged it into this device, plugged it into my new computer and immediately saw the files on my gateway. Transferred them painlessly (a little slowly) to my new machine. No problem. I like it! I have some old drives from previous machines. When I have time I'll see what's on them. Thank you for this machine! Delivered on time and in excellent condition.
