Troxel Cheyenne Horseback Riding Helmet: Protect Your Head While Enjoying The Ride! Review

I am very happy with this helmet. It's beautiful and very western. I added a hat the brim cut from a cowboy hat. You can do it too. (See Karen's hell hat posse on Facebook for instruction) So many of my peers in the Western riding world, unfortunately, do not wear helmets.what a wonderful way to protect your head and stay with the western look!

I love this helmet! It is so comfortable. I also appreciate the fact that it looks a little less traditional. The helmet's chinstrap may not be very secure, leading to potential safety concerns!

I bought this for my 10 year old daughter who rides horses. The western inspiration is perfect! She wore it for the first time yesterday and couldn’t be happier with it. This is a very high quality helmet and the leather is beautiful. Don’t hesitate to purchase!

I followed Troxel's measurements prior to ordering and the helmet fit in the area that I was told to measure but narrowed toward the top of the head causing uncomfortable pressure points. It may just be my scull shape.Love the look of the helmet so I returned it and ordered a size up and it can be adjusted to almost fit on the smallest size. I'm going to keep it but I wish the skull cap was a bit more rounded.

I purchased this helmet prior to participating in a cattle working clinic. My horse did not have prior exposure to cattle and so I thought it would be prudent to be prepared. Gladly, he took to the cattle perfectly and I felt confident knowing my head would be protected in case anything unexpected happened. The helmet looks good and it fits as expected.

Great helmet. Still makes you looks like a bubble head but it’s safe and that’s what matters. Fits well but doesn’t give me a headache like other helmets do.

This is a pretty helmet just like the photo. It is sized a little smaller than my Troxel Rebel but still fits good. I wanted a nice dressy western helmet and this fits the bill. I waited till it was on sale on Natl helmet day and that sale made me even happier with this helmet. I would buy it again. ( This one is going to stay a helmet for windy days, I'm not making this one into a hellhat, tho it would make a nice one) I'm happy with it.

The magnetic lock on the strap is easy to latch and unlatch. This is the second one I bought, this one was for my husband. Mine is over a year old and used a lot. Still looks great and holding up to abuse. Stayed on when I've been dumped and for a few 'eight second' rides. I really like these helmets.

I got this for my wife for her birthday since her existing riding helmet was over 10 years old.The Cheyenne Riding Helmet is covered with beautiful Southwestern Style Stitched Real Leather. She gets complements from all the other riders. Not cheap though when compared to a basic plastic Troxel helmet.

This is a beautiful helmet! At first I was concerned that it might feel too heavy, but after wearing it several times, it doesn't feel heavy at all. It is a little warm so I'm not sure how comfortable it will be in the summer.

I really like the leather covering on the helmet. I did what another reviewer did and added a brim. The closest thing to a western hat and still being safe.

This helmet is a great product by Troxel. Purchased for my wife for her riding lessons and we priced out at some local tack shops hut found it cheaper here on Ebay. The adjustment on the back of the helmet is easy and it fits the rider very easily.The price was right and the helmet is perfect. Spend a little extra for the increased comfort.

I thought it was the wrong helmet! I expected the stitching to be tan and black, not blue and yellow! I will probably return it. Extremely disappointed!

I have finally decided to start wearing a helmet when horseback riding. This helmet looks extremely stylish fits very well and is extremely well-made. I'm super happy I have made the purchase and decided to start wearing a helmet. It does the job. If you are thinking about getting one I highly recommend the Cheyenne.

This riding helmet is beautiful with carefully applied leather on the outside and beautiful embroidery on it. I have seen many riding helmets and this helmet looks the most westernized of all the riding helmets on the market. However, you may sweat a little on your forehead after riding.Nevertheless, I can recommend this helmet to all horse riding fans, especially those who prefer western style!

It seemed plain in the pics but its actually gorgeous in person. True to size. I have a round head and its so comfortable I have forgotten it was on before.Looks great when riding western or trail riding. Lots of compliments on it too. I hope they keep making this design. Every time I fall in love with a design Troxel discontinues it. Excellent stitching and takes abuse. Lasts and protects.
