Will not fit 2007 4-Matic SL-550

Starter looks good but will not fit 2007 SL550 4-Matic if you have a 4-Matic starter on the driver's side instead of the passenger side.

'01 ML320 Compatible

Installs with no extra effort on installation. It worked fine in my '01 ML320. I reused the fasteners from the old part as the new one had inferior fasteners.

Why pay more? Much more!

Let's see how it holds up. Seems great at the moment. Brand new, no mains charger. -- I had problems with the reproduction. A tricky setup on the SL500 that I didn't want to do twice. Works perfectly. I bought here because of the great reviews.

Worked great so far and was what I expected

This is a Bosch product so I'm sure I won't have any problems with it. I installed it with no problems. Seems to be working very well. So far so good, no complaints. First, shipping took longer than expected, but not that bad.

Wrong in many ways.

You will find that these are two completely different starters. The one on the left is guaranteed to fit. The one on the right comes from the m 2008 MB S550 4matic. The one on the left is longer, considering how tight it has to fit in the space I would have to permanently remove part of the wheel. But even if it was the right size, or required a new bell housing and possibly a new gearbox, that would suggest it wouldn't require a rear-spinning engine. I'm returning it today because my beautiful
