The filter is as good or better than the original 2014 Altima filter.

Perfect for 2014 Nissan Altima. The glove compartment does NOT have to be removed! Removing the old one is more difficult than installing the new one. The filter block is located behind the central panel along the firewall. The filter is bigger than the hole. You have to shrink like an accordion when you open it. Once in the box, it returns to its original shape. The job is easier if you have a flashlight and small hands. Dealer wanted 70€ for installation. It took me 10 minutes to uninstall…

My car had mold for a while which was very disgusting and especially uncomfortable when I was transporting others in my car. Nissan sent me a $70 or $80 coupon for replacing the cabin air filter, I can't remember which one. Instead, I got that, got into my car, and replaced it pretty easily. It was a bit of a squish and twist to see what I was doing, but it worked fine. Dude had to put the filter back in, it might be 1mm or 0.5mm thicker than the OEM simply based on the resistance to passage…

Seems as good as the OEM filter, replaces

When placed next to an OTM filter, material quality, plate count and finish remain the same. If I change my mind I'll let you know when it's time to change it, but for now it looks good and based on today's experience I would buy it again. application guide. The website doesn't have an application guide that I could easily find, but there are plenty of videos on YouTube that are easy to follow, although due to the location it's a bit difficult to make sure it's 100% correct on the Nissan Altima

Not sure if it's just bad design. Nissan

I don't know who to be more upset about, Nissan or this product. tried to install it and the instructions clearly state that you need to stuff it in place. Well I did, and it slipped too far and actually fell so deep into the airbox that it completely cut off airflow from the fan motor! Not sure if it's just bad Nissan design or bad instructions from this manufacturer. I have never had a panel filter that was so complex and delicate. A slight squeeze and the only way to remove it is to destroy…

30 minutes total DIY process

This was my first cabin air filter change in a 14 Altima and it took 25 minutes from start to finish. I started loosening the three screws at the bottom of the glove box. I then removed the top three screws that were accessible from inside the glove box. Finally, I removed the two screws that were inside the guide insert. After carefully removing the glove box, I disconnected the two cables that were connected to the glove box. If you are lifting the glove box off the floor, this step is not…

Looks like a good quality unit

I just installed this new unit on my 2014 Altima. I agree the procedure is quite clumsy, VERY uncomfortable in fact for a man with short arms and a wide body. The old one came out easily and doesn't seem to have been changed since 2014. He was dirty. It came out easily but I had to use the hook puller from the kit I had because I couldn't get anything like a pull tab to pull the old one out. The new one doesn't have a tab either. But getting a new, albeit straightforward, process was very…

The filter itself is a good replacement for a 2013 Altima S

The filter itself is a good replacement for a 2013 Altima S. But installing a filter is a problem. I agree with many buyers that Nissan did a terrible job designing something very uncomfortable for the end user. You don't have to remove the glove box to access the filter. Removing the old filter is relatively easy, just grab and pull. However, installing a new filter is very difficult. I struggled for probably an hour and a half to get the damn thing in. I ended up removing the glove box to get

Direct replacement - slightly better than OEM

I bought this to replace the original cabin air filter on a 2013 Nissan Altima, it is a direct replacement in size although I do find the frame edges to be a bit stronger. and "more resilient", ensuring that when the filter is inserted into the airflow slot, it will expand back to its original shape. My original only had 10,400 miles on the car but it was over a year old and I noticed that the smell started filling the interior of the car when the air conditioning was turned on. Maybe it's the…
