🏄 HYDROFOIL Kickboard by TYR: Elevating Your Swimming Experience Review

This board has very low buoyancy which makes it not very useful as a kickboard. If you're a small child you might be able to use it for swimming, but if you're even a humble adult, don't worry.

Great little kickboard. It looks like nothing else. Love the padding for your hands. I would recommend it. I've seen some reviews saying it's not lively enough to back it up. I'm quite a tall guy (6ft, 230lbs). it keeps me good This is not a raft. You may have to raise your mouth above the water to inhale, but that's swimming.

Cool kickboard. It's smaller than I thought it would be and very, very light. But it made packing and moving easier. And thanks to its design, it slides through the water and turns around very easily. Using it on the back is great too. I don't know how long it will last, but it seems very durable.

I'm not a big guy. I'm 5'10 and about 165 lbs. I'm a good swimmer and I know what I'm doing. I love this kickboard and the shape is nice but the buoyancy is a little less than I expected. I have to try very hard not to sink it a few inches underwater while using it. This in turn causes me to have to rotate my head to breathe instead of just holding my head up to breathe and just focusing on my kicks.

I have competed and used all types of boards for years. It's not my absolute favorite, but it's my favorite for everyday use, lugging it back and forth to the pool in my gear bag. It's compact, so it fits nicely in a pocket and is very light. Works well in the water. I wish it was a little longer so I could fit all my hands in below the elbow, but it's just as good (prevents me from getting lazy on punch sets). It glides on water and has just enough texture for me to hold in my hands.

Ideal for training. Compact and handy. The material feels high quality. This product survived several days in a car in very hot Texas weather. Reviews that it is too small and cannot help with swimming are partially true. This is not for beginners. I personally think many people miss the point of this product. Due to COVID we now have to bring our own boards. This one is great and very useful for a variety of hits and also fits in a swim bag. Contrary to the negative reviews, this is a real product. This is a closed cell foam that has no fabric cover but has the same texture. The reason there is no R circle next to the logo is because the text on the board is molded out of foam and the R circle has too many small details to show properly in the mold. I have been swimming both competitively and triathlon for over 25 years but have never had a similar one. The shape is great and the corners are placed in a way that makes your hands feel comfortable. I love that your hands rest naturally on the edge of the board and the extra protruding point is easy to hold. The only thing that confuses me is that the board seems lighter than I think.
