📞 Uniden DECT 6.0 Expandable Cordless Phone with Digital Answering System - Silver (D1780-4) - 4 Handsets Review

I've had this phone for 3 months now and the sound goes off and on during a call. Unable to contact Uniden to find out what needs to be done to resolve the issue. I've had Uniden cordless phones for about 30 years and haven't had any problems. It really annoys me that they don't have an available customer service number.

I bought these to replace a set of 4 AT&T cordless phones. The old phones were tired, speakers didn't work on 2, buttons were hard to press (crumbled?) on some, but they had talking caller ID. I didn't realize how dependent we are on it until one or two of us had to go to a new phone to read the screen. You no longer have to lie in bed and hear who is calling and decide whether or not to answer. Not a good reason to return but certainly not worthy of a 5 star rating. So I connected 2 old phones

Beware of very limited customer service. I returned my first order because the base station didn't charge. When I received a second order, the new phone was not registered in its database. The included manual does not offer any effective solutions to the problem. Otherwise there is practically no customer service. Excellent phone system. I call it a system because it supports multiple phones. In our case, two plus the base unit. I bought this to replace a 5 year old base station that probably burned out from one of our many power surges. Just like I had before. While you can turn off other brands of answering machines, they don't have a flashing light to let you know you have voicemail, and you have to remember to constantly check your line to hear if it has a "broken" dial tone to voicemail. .
