So far so good in Computers & Accessories

I used this SSD as external storage for video production, editing and creating large format photo files (10GB). It works very well in a USB 3.0 enclosure. It doesn't get very hot and doesn't lag behind what the software demands. Considering the price, I can say that this is a worthy product. Will it last as long as my Samsung EVO SSD? Only time will tell, although I see no reason to doubt it.

Reads well writes well

I installed this on a replacement laptop that was running out of RAM and I was able to put it through its paces. The drive runs incredibly cool under load and never goes above 33c. Once you get used to M.2 NVME drives always going from 60 to 90+ which reduces performance. The read speed is 500+ what you need for a traditional 2.5 inch SATA drive. Unfortunately, the write speed is a bit slower, but acceptable. Ironically, the 4k read speed (right where it should be for this type of drive) is…

  • Neutral

My experience with Unirex prior to Unirex 120GB Premium SATA III SSD was limited to cheap USB flash drives. While I'm sure it's only white label, going out with a real SSD represents more upscale coverage than I expected. In general, you don't expect much performance from a SATA III SSD compared to their NVMe counterparts. On the other hand, the ubiquity of the 2.5-inch form factor and SATA III interface means this is a worthwhile upgrade for older hardware. A read STR of 528 MB/s and a write…

Good performance for a small SSD

This Unirex SSD is a great upgrade for any computer that still has a mechanical hard drive. The drive has a standard 2.5-inch form factor (7mm high) and is very light (only 1.2 ounces) so it fits perfectly into almost any laptop or desktop computer with a SATA interface. The performance corresponds to the declared, the maximum read speed is 550 MB. / s and the write speed reaches 440 MB / s. Like many available SSDs, this one is based on the Phison controller in combination with 3D flash, which

Read well, write well

I installed it on a replacement laptop that was running out of memory and was able to use it to its full potential. The drive runs incredibly cool under load and never loses its place at 33 °C.
