I've had the several months now and it's a game changer. I love that it responds with Alexa, but an interesting problem that I have is that while I can tell it to set low and high I cannot tell it to set to medium. I've learned that I can say set to speed two and it will go to medium. It's just interesting that it will respond to the low and the high command but not the medium command. Otherwise the product works great

For my installs I first use the larger less expensive model. Worked great except it was hard to secure to the ceiling and keep it from falling down into the blades. RF remote works great and does not interfere with one close by. The second time I bough the smaller one for an identical fan. This only moved the mounting location and also made securing it difficult.

Works great. We put a new ceiling outside on our patio. So it’s very nice to have a remote to operate from the inside of the house.

I bought 3 of these controllers. It was a bit difficult to setup at first but I read the comments and instructions and it worked with the exception of one that I was able to sent back for a replacement.Unfortunately, they started dying off. They started turning the light on in the middle of the night and turning off the fan, great timing! and then started just turning on and off on its own. I have one standing so far.I love the idea but I guess I'll wait a few months for an upgraded batch.

I installed this remote on a fairly new, (less than 2 years old), Hunter brand ceiling fan in my baby nursery. Every time the light switch is turned on, the receiver unit beeps very loudly. My 2-year-old would mock it, saying "BEEEEEPPP!" every time he heard it. Easy to tell if a wire has been wire nutted, especially with stranded wire. Definitely used! Not going to waste my time installing. Since all the materials in the package except for the actual dimming unit were new I can only assume seller repackaged a returned unit.That said, I have purchased six of the same unit under different names and the failure rate has been about 20%. Awesome device and easy to install. My only wish is I would like to be able to schedule an off time like you can do for other SmartLife switches. I had discussions with SmartLife and they indicated that the manufacturer would need to create that enhancement.

I’ve installed 7 of these so far. The 1st one took some time to figure out. 3 of the fans were older with motor starter condensers. Once I found the correct wiring on the internet I was able convert those fans to use this receiver controller. The other fans were more basic and the wiring was easy. I read the reviews on this 2 part package and everything seemed fine. A few noted sparks or shorting out. Well I installed mine (straight forward). Tested and everything worked. I put the shroud back on my fan and nothing worked. So I pulled the shroud off, turned off the power and checked all the connections. They seemed fine. Tried again and it was working.
