but most of the year

The product was exactly as advertised. It will easily fit the 2003 Beelte 2.0 Convertible. The aluminum doesn't seem as refined as the factory one, but it hasn't failed for most of the year so it's fine.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Everything is great

I had to replace it with the original (157,000 km).

Had to replace this with the original part (157k miles) as I only replaced it with this part in December 2017. home (60km/h) and the wheel stopped and the belt was overturned. Back home I bought a new pulley and belt at a local parts store. Installed and ready to go. again. Too bad the one I bought here only lasted a little over 3 months. And yes, I am a mechanic.

Pros
  • good thing
Cons
  • working speed

You get what you pay for.

I was a bit disappointed when I found out that after 2.5 years of use I have to replace this part again. I recently had problems with a battery not charging properly so I replaced the alternator, battery and belt but the problem persisted. I never suspected the tensioner was the culprit considering I only replaced it a few years ago. This part should last over 15,000 miles. It would be better to pay extra for better quality.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Update available

1999.5 VW Jetta Mk4 2.0L

Part matched my old one perfectly, took 15 minutes to fit. It's working great so far, hope you'll remember to update this review after a few thousand miles. Local parts stores wanted anything from $50 to $100 for the same part, but the next $32 supply couldn't be better. You could save even more by just replacing the roller/bearing itself, but the old idle tensioner is being replaced for the first time in 273,000 miles. I'd be happy to spend the few euros more for a whole assembly.

Pros
  • Solid construction
Cons
  • Some difficulties

The plastic wheel broke two new belts. When the store removed it after a day's use, the wheel partially melted and ended up forming a sharp plastic protrusion that handled the straps. Plastic steering wheel replaced by OEM. Very disappointed because the three times work was expensive. Wouldn't recommend it. I noticed that now after putting on the third belt. The wheel on this tensioner is off center. When lifting the belt, only partially raise the tensioner. Terrible design and overpriced. You…

looks good to me The installation takes some time.

Fits 2001 Audi TT with 1.8 ton AMU engine. The part is almost identical in structure and fit to the original Littens spanner. As far as quality goes, everything seems fine to me. The installation will take a long time. Expect noon. I had to lift the passenger side of the car and remove the wheel, then remove all fenders and engine covers, then remove the coolant reservoir and power steering reservoir. This gave me good access to the tensioner and belt spacer. I had no problems with belt tension
