I've had my V7 for ages and just got it - couldn't believe how much better it worked on hardwoods compared to the roller that came with it. Any larger object goes straight in and won't be kicked. I also like the light which I didn't expect to be so helpful as it soaks up dark spots. The only complaint, but not worth dropping the star, is the tightness of the connection, although I hope this will improve over time. Will update when I have longer if it doesn't

Works great. I had to fix the squeaky steering wheel. I have an original Dyson V7 motor head. It only had a brush roller, a soft roller is best for hard floors. The soft roller picks up those bamboo floors absolutely better than the Dysons brush head. My only complaint is that it made an awkward squeak when retracted. The squeak came from a small road wheel/pulley. Tiny drop 3 in 1 and is silent. I'm deducting a star for that, although it's probably only worth half a star.

I love this clean floor tool and wish I hadn't looked for it sooner. I found many fakes early on in my search but have stuck with making sure I find something with the highest chance of work. I like that it's not as wide as the others. Dyson knows exactly what we need. Remember that this is something like a whisk, but without a brush. It has a soft rotating rib that is very safe to avoid scratches. Although designed for bare floors, it picks up surface dirt from the carpet well when I'm around.

Update 10/06/21: Changed to 4 stars. The company contacted me and offered to replace attachments. The new one definitely works. I'll keep an eye on him and make sure he doesn't die in a year.
