The stand is of course much better than the folding stand on wheels. It's heavy and durable, but not too heavy to carry around easily. The roller has ball bearings, which should ensure a long service life and smooth running. As others have said, I wish there was some sort of wrench holder on the stand. I have had many different reel stands. All previous ones have failed. A common mistake is the height adjustment mechanism. This one looks a lot better. MUCH heavier which is great as it doesn't look like it will tip over easily. The normal cocking mechanism is also very different. In this case a very large Allen key is used to adjust the height. We have used many woodworking and metalworking roll stands. For this price range, we're used to seeing lightweight racks with very crappy height and level adjustments and cheap casters. For the money, this is by far the best stand we've bought in 25 years. The stand is very solid and the fit and finish is excellent.
