the best hold. Better product than in previous years

Insulated, thicker sole, better grip. Excellent product than in previous years. However, the five fingers require more careful engineering. As shoes become more durable, there should be an outer shell as an accessory, without a five-finger look at Exo IE, rain, work and so on.

Pros
  • Strong, waterproof but round laces are constantly untied.
Cons
  • May not be suitable for those with flat arches.

Pooh! Pooh! Then ah!

(Note: I had to take a size 2 and try on 3 pairs to get a good fit.) This will be my fourth pair of Five Finger shoes. In terms of size, I'm a perfect size 44, so I chose a size 45 for the Trek Ascent Insulated. The fit was perfect, the width was good and maybe a little wider than some of the other VFF shoes I have, which is good as I usually need wide shoes (I have relatively long thin toes). The length was good too, with a snug fit and little room at the tip of the toes. I love the body of…

Pros
  • My new favorite shoes
Cons
  • May be uncomfortable if worn for long periods

In my opinion too little

Come on Vibram, they don't even come close to the advertised size compared to other shoes in the same size. I have 4 other pairs of Vibrams in size 47 and while I would like to see a size 48 I can get them to work on my size 13'. I couldn't even get these Trek Ascent size 47 cushioned shoes on my feet. Shoe sizes are obviously based on the size of the foot, but it's like Vibram removed the size with insulation instead of creating insulation from the size. Since 47 is the largest size Vibram…

Pros
  • Excellent quality, best shoes for wide feet
Cons
  • Cannot be waterproof

Great shoes, good insulation but not waterproof

As mentioned, you can buy one size larger than you normally wear. I usually wear 42.5/43, I bought 9.5. The insulation in the boots is pretty good and I used it in the snow. They aren't waterproof, however, so they start smelling a little quicker than regular five fingers.

Pros
  • My son loves this!
Cons
  • Cannot be easily hacked

Fits well! My review

They almost eliminated my husband's athletic foot. I wish they lasted a little longer and weren't as warm, but for him these are great everyday shoes.

Pros
  • Great shoes. Arrived in time for Christmas
Cons
  • Are my fingers too long? just feel weird

Lace loops don't hold

I liked them until the laces started breaking. The stitches for the buttonholes held, the lace buttonhole actually broke through the threads. I can't tie my lace up shoes anymore which is a problem.

Pros
  • great shoes
Cons
  • May not be suitable for those with a narrow arch.

The quality is lacking.

The quality of Vibram is declining. True to size, but there was an inseam on the right leg that was pinching against the toe and causing pain.

Pros
  • Great shoes
Cons
  • May not fit all foot shapes

I bought my first pair of 5-finger vibrams ten years ago, now I have 4 pairs of 5-finger shoes. They are very easy to use, very convenient.

Pros
  • gift to son. He loves her. Exactly what he wanted in this weather.
Cons
  • Possibly not suitable for everyday use

Very comfy - love the lining

I read the reviews before purchasing and as many suggested ordering a "larger" size, I ordered a size up from my other pair. It worked great.

Pros
  • The shoes are a bit small at the toes but great company.
Cons
  • Possibly not breathable enough

I switched to five fingers as a way of life.

This shoe doesn't fit like my vtrail. I like cool weather. Decent wooden construction. Slightly better moisture resistance. I would recommend this product.

Pros
  • My new favorite 5 fingers. They fit like a glove and are warmer than the summer version.
Cons
  • May not provide adequate arch support

Check compliance in my review

The right shoes fit perfectly. I was in a hurry and just checked the boot. Then I threw away all the packaging. Later, when I put on the left boot, I found that the left boot was cut differently. Look at the photo and you will notice that the thumb and pinky are cut differently. It's not much, but it's enough to restrict circulation in that leg and cause discomfort. Just remember to try on both shoes before throwing away the packaging. love lesson

Pros
  • stepped in the water covering the toes and they didn't spill but I wasn't in the water but for a minute
Cons
  • May not be suitable for people with neuropathy

You are ok - my rating

I don't know maybe I just have a bad pair, my left boot fits and feels good but my right boot feels like I have a hard seam or support bar under my second and third toes on the first toe. It feels slightly raised there, and when walking, it sometimes seems that all the weight is shifted there, and walking on it is incredibly painful. I hope this goes away once the shoe breaks in, but none of my other Vibrams have felt like this.

Pros
  • Works little. Haven't worn it on a hike but it feels good.
Cons
  • Limited availability in some sizes

Comfort, earthiness, warmth.

Arrived two days later with delivery of Revain Prime. Vibrams recommend going 1-2 sizes up as they are very close fitting and insulating. Fits 2 sizes and they are absolutely comfortable. I love the look, style and feel of this shoe. I'm buying them specifically for the upcoming Pacific Northwest winter.

Pros
  • This is my husband's second pair of Vibrams and he loves them the most. He says isolation is paramount.
Cons
  • May not be breathable enough in hot weather

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Pleasantly good for me

As suggested, one size up. Worn several times in December this year in the Northeast without socks (preferred). The rubber sole creates a cold environment, so wear socks as your feet will be warm. Also treat the outside with a waterproof shoe spray.

Pros
  • They are warm and cosy, and the inside is velvety soft and much warmer than regular via ferratas.
Cons
  • May not be suitable for people with hip pain

very comfortable in my opinion

I'm a fan of five finger shoes with four pairs that I wear when I need to wear shoes. They tend to be a bit smaller and since my feet ended up being between 42 and 43, I ordered 43. A good choice, especially when I wear socks. I'll see how warm they are in Wyoming in the winter.

Pros
  • Get it 2 sizes larger than usual! They are comfortable and warm.
Cons
  • May not be suitable for those with a split leg.

Runs small but will keep you warm if you don't get wet

For a long time they wore 5 fingers - usually they buy 40-41 depending on the shoe. Based on the reviews I ordered 42 and it was perfect. A bit big but perfect for extra socks, but the regular weight Injinji fleece was about as warm as I needed for freezer work. I didn't really understand how it could be good for ice but bad for snow, but the first time I put it on I got it. When you step on snow or a puddle, water seeps in between your toes or through your shoes, which are essentially thick…

Pros
  • Super warm and perfect fit.
Cons
  • May not provide adequate support for high impact activities

Great non-slip shoes for winter!

I love these shoes! These are warm winter boots that are not as heavy as most winter boots. I would still wear a sock with these shoes. My other five toe shoes don't have laces, but these lace ups are fine and they stay tied. The tread is excellent and I didn't slip at all. I feel the ground more underneath me and in big winter boots I don't feel the ground as much. I still wear big boots when the snow is very deep, but for everyday winter boots they are fine. I have more than one pair of…

Pros
  • Buy one size larger
Cons
  • May not be suitable for people with sensitive skin due to the material used.

Media with five oversized fingers.

The shoes themselves are great. These are probably the most comfortable VFFs I own and have been the only shoes I've worn in the last ten years. I know this because I started when we got our dog Jack and he just turned 10 years old. My size is 40 and I currently have 3 pairs, all 40's. One for everyday warm weather, one for warm weather running and one that I wear in the ring. (I'm the only boxer who doesn't fight in boxing shoes.) That's how much I love VFF. In the last race the temperature…

Pros
  • I wear them to work on bright days and around town and they are great! They fit my feet perfectly and are so comfortable
Cons
  • May not be suitable for people with sensitive toes

Precision fit and warmth

This insulated version will keep my boobs warm as fall rolls around. Fits great. My only complaint is that some of the ridges along the arc of ascent rub a bit. My foot will adjust, but I was expecting a slightly better feeling going barefoot.

Pros
  • I love these shoes, I will buy a second pair!!!
Cons
  • May not be suitable for formal occasions

Go Vibram, Go is the best in my rating

Probably my 4th or 5th pair. I love these shoes. I've worn them all winter in moderate temperatures and my feet were warm without socks. Good product. Excellent price.

Pros
  • It takes a minute to crack. Wear socks during this time.
Cons
  • May not be suitable for people with Achilles tendonitis
