Unauthorized hardware does not work

The scanner does not work with the supplied software. I even went to the website and downloaded the app and discs to make sure it wasn't a software issue and it still had unauthorized hardware written there. Makes it an expensive paperweight.

I like Scanner in the office electronics

Much better than expected. I bought this scanner to minimize paperwork at home. Advantages: (1) Space saving. Only a small angle is required to position this scanner. I can fold the rug into a small piece without using it. (2) Although the instructions say we have to place the scanner in the mat at +sigh, it doesn't matter as long as the scanner is on the mat. It also doesn't matter if I put the paper neatly or not, it can automatically grab it and put it in the right position. (3) It's amazing

Needs updating

Like others, I couldn't use it with the software that came with it. I don't have a computer that can install the software from a CD. Like others, I was able to go online and use the software to get started. I'm homeschooled and have to apply online all the time, so it's very convenient. I use Windows so others may have problems if they don't. Very convenient for virtual learning.

So far I love this scanner!

So far I like this scanner. I've been using it to scan the pages of a book for several weeks. This will make the curled pages appear flat and remove your fingers from the scan (where you held the page), but sometimes the spot where the finger was removed is a little darker, but still amazing! I'm currently using the Mac beta, so there are some hiccups (which is to be expected since it's still in beta, not the reason I deducted a star). I also can't get the click button to work and not sure if…

Good scanner for online teaching, remote meetings and storing documents and photos

I bought this VIISAN document scanner for remote teaching and it worked perfectly. The installation only took a few minutes. I used the software from their official website as I don't have a CD drive on my computer. It could easily and quickly scan the pages of a book during online study. It can also be used as a visual presenter during Zoom meetings. I particularly like the intelligent page break detection, page smoothing, multiple document scanning and OCR. This saved me a lot of time…

Doesn't work with Linux

I've done my best and I'm pretty good at these things. But I could NOT get this device to work on my Linux system, not even in a Windows virtual machine. Yes, it is advertised as a Windows-only device. But pretty much everything else I've tried (with a few exceptions) was close enough to a standard to make it work. However, it is not a relatively expensive device. It's just not recognized by my computer. Of course, other people may have different experiences, so I cannot justify a 1 star…
