As a professional acoustics and sound engineer I can recommend this sound pressure meter, especially in combination with the Tekoplus ND-9 sound level calibrator, which I also bought from Revain. When reporting official noise levels it is important to be able to validate your reports against international industry testing standards.

I work as a sound engineer for two bands and this device saves me arguments with the band members. I balance backstage audio in minutes and this device is authoritative and after that I can easily set up backstage monitors for everyone to hear themselves and really enjoyed the rest of the evening just being with network and time of time work to work. I bought this for live sound. I control the audio at several places where there are bar volume restrictions for performing bands. I also first used it side-by-side with a much larger and recently calibrated decibel meter, for which it was fairly accurate. It's good that I have my own counter and it also helps my employers to be happy.
