Description of 👼 Halo Early Walker Sleepsack Lightweight Knit Wearable Blanket, Blue, Large - TOG 0.5

100% Polyester. Imported. Use over regular sleepwear to take the place of loose blankets; designed and sized with a LOOSE, GENEROUS FIT to give ample leg room when you choose to tuck your little one’s feet in for sleeping; if you plan on your child using it primarily with feet out, making it easier to stand up in the crib, consider a smaller size for its lesser length to reduce the amount of extra fabric that can get in the way of your child moving around. Please note that this item is designed for use as a sleeptime wearable BLANKET and is sized accordingly; it will be much larger than an ordinarily sized garment (which it is not) and will have substantial extra loose hanging fabric when your child is standing with their feet out. Unzips from the bottom for easy diaper changes; generous sack design allows room for kicking, but cannot be kicked off so baby stays warm all night; sleeveless design reduces the risk of overheating. Made from a lightweight 100% polyester knit fabric with a TOG rating of 0.5, for warmer climates and seasons; layer with warmer sleepwear for cooler temperatures. Available here in Large Size, recommended for 12-18 month babies, generally from 22-28 pounds and 30-35 inches long; please note that at this Large size, the Early Walker SleepSack wearable blanket measures approximately 28 inches from the shoulder line to the bottom of the "sack", with an additional 6 inches for the "legs" - it will appear very large as compared to a garment, but is designed this way for use as a BLANKET.

The climber won't be stopped - HUGE.

HUGE. I bought this hoping my 18 month old wouldn't get out of the crib and pack up and play and it didn't help. I'm tall (12-18 months, 22-28lbs) and my 21lb toddler was swallowed whole so it can be used as a "blanket" but it won't stop her from climbing into her crib at all . I ordered a size down (Medium, 6-12 months) and it still looks huge, but we'll try anyway, but my hopes aren't high. Again, this is great to use as a blanket, but it doesn't stop my child from climbing at all. It works…

Absolutely PERFECT for bedding

I am very happy with this sleeping bag! My 10 month old rolls around on the edge of his crib and regular sleeping bags can get confusing for him. This thing obviously solves that problem. Not only that. it's incredibly SOFT! My son sleeps great in it and he will have plenty of room to grow. For reference, he is about 30 inches tall, weighs about 27 pounds and wears clothes for an age of 18-24 months. We can pull the small cuffs around his knees, making the rest of the bag fall roughly to his…

Not the best option for hot weather, complex zipepr.

I bought this because it's the only sleeping bag I've found with leg holes. It is made in such a way that the child can sleep when the bag covers all legs and stretch their legs in the morning. At the moment it doesn't fit anymore without removing the legs (I bought L, my child is 80 cm long) but that's ok. However, if I had my way I would still use summer sleeping bags, they are significantly lighter (we live in the tropics and don't use air conditioning) and have a double zip which is very…

Works great but not quite as advertised

SleepSacks are great but not really for "early hikers". I had to buy this because our son was getting too big for other Halo sleeping bag sizes at 10 months. He started walking at about 11 months, 28 inches. The sleeping bag was too long for him to walk in, he kept tripping over it, and his legs were completely invisible. He's now 14 months and 32 inches and can walk in it but I'm uncomfortable with it because it's still long enough for the occasional ride. I know several babies who started…

Ideal for summer in warm climates.

We live in North Alabama, the summers are warm but the air conditioner is cold. I was struggling to find the right nightwear for my kids and this sleeping bag was great. It keeps you warm but doesn't sweat. No I don't like that it's polyester but it's light weight and washes/dries very quickly which is a big plus. Flash is fine. The size is big but that's ok. I use Large for my boy from 6 to 10 months (during this time he wore clothes from 18 to 24 months). His legs stay in him since he doesn't

Pros
  • Finally bought

  • Electrical outlet needed

Love it would buy again but its not a pill.

My son and I are big fans of the HALO Early Walker sleeping bag. We used to swaddle another brand but as he got older and needed the freedom of a sleeping bag we chose HALO. I chose this one because it was easy. We live in a warmer climate and his winter bag from another brand was too big. He doesn't sleep well without a comfy blanket so luckily we found him. The material is excellent, very light and soft. Contains no flame retardant chemicals, which is a must for us. My son likes to wear it…

Sweet. Our 15 month old uses a .

Cute Our 15 month old wore the fleece version all fall and winter - it was the best! As the weather was warmer, I opted for a sleeping bag in the same style made from lightweight fabric. It's not cotton; This is a thin polyester jersey (0.5 TOG). Halo only offers 100% cotton in a legless bag, so this is our only option when leg openings are needed. There are other brands that offer this in cotton but we chose this one because the quality is still high, it closes top to bottom (no spiky chins)…

Pros
  • Hard wearing finish
Cons
  • Embarrassing
