I bought this for my recently adopted Corgi who was just over one year old. I had a slow bowl with a different pattern and within a few weeks he had learned how to inhale the food out of that one, so I decided to try a different pattern. This one is far more challenging for him, and now a few months later it still takes him a while to get the food out of the center of the little spirals. I'm super glad I purchased this for him.

Get idea in every way! It stops bloating because it takes my pup much longer to finish her food (about 15 minutes). My dog has been a gulper from day one. It’s been a balancing act to find some way of slowing her down so she doesn’t up chuck her meals. My yellow lab inhales his food. I love this slow feeder. I bought the same one about maybe 2 years ago and it finally broke. I have another slow feeder that’s lasted for years so I’m a little sad the plastic is so thin. But it’s worked for over a year. Just be careful with dropping it.
