Misleading picture on "Parts and Accessories " page

Picture/description is misleading! This product contains only ONE filter. The display shows TWO filters. The description says 1 pack and 1 piece.

Pros

It felt like it was empty

The filter on the new ice maker didn't feel like it had liquid in it. When I turned it upside down to pour water into the pan, nothing came out. He was also very light. Must be reordered

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Some little things

Hot Tub Ice Maker Water Filter

Expensive, about $50 every 4 or 6 months. Due to the high levels of calcium in my city water, I use them as needed. I also installed a filter in the piping leading to the ice machine inlet. The optional filter brings the ice machine to life. This is my fifth Whirlpool ice maker. These $50 screw-in filters are much easier to install than in-line filters. With any of these ice makers, you really need filters as long as they have a wire mesh that cuts the ice sheet into ice squares.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • unreliable

Ephemeral Filter

This replacement filter did not last as long as our original filter that came with the ice maker. Our original filter lasted 7 months, this one only 4 months. A handyman came to us to fix our ice machine because it stopped making ice. We thought our ice maker was broken, but it turned out that this filter was already clogged. He said these filters had trouble clogging too soon. He also said you can run the ice maker without a filter. We will do this because it is not economical to buy a filter…

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • No Automatic

Expensive but cheaper from Revain

This is a very simple and easy to install water filter for a Kenmore brand (but Whirlpool) ice machine. I took a new one out of the box. If I need to improve something, I want it to last longer -- again, Sears wouldn't have a steady stream of revenue if they made it a practical lifecycle. The filters are pretty expensive for what you get, but ordering at least one here at Revain is about $30 cheaper than my local Sears appliance center. If you need a Kenmore water filter cartridge I would…

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
