💧 Waterproof Plastic Junction Box for Electronic Enclosures Review

Ultimately it's my fault for not triple checking but the <Two Choices Available> pictures are misleading. The white image shows one box and the black image shows TWO boxes. I was in a hurry and considered several options, mistakenly assuming the purchase was for two cases that I needed for my project. Again my fault and I will keep ONE case BUT I will never buy anything from this reseller ever again.

I had to include a wireless switch for my fountain so it wouldn't be damaged by rain. This box was the perfect size and worked exactly as intended. I screwed the box to the wall of the house and made small cutouts for the power cords. Everything fit in perfectly. I needed two boxes for a project I was working on. These two boxes are perfect for my needs. They were strong enough to withstand a step drill and were easy to manipulate. I can't say if they are waterproof. They come with a "gasket" to insert between the top of the box and the lid, but I can't say for sure how much water it protects. I wrapped the lid with tape as a precaution. But yes, if you need small boxes for projects, they will surely fit. I would buy them again if I had to do more…

When I first received this box I thought it was too big to install 3 small electricity meters to measure the power produced by the solar panels, the charge controller and the power drawn monitor the batteries. However, once I started connecting all the components, including the shunt for each of the meters, the size was perfect to accommodate all the shunts and the necessary wiring. These are beautiful sturdy plastic project boxes that look like beautiful stainless steel screws and have a watertight gasket that fits into the molded groove in the lid. The biggest disadvantages of the switch were the incompatibility with most electro boxes. Most of the Switch's reviewers have pointed this out and suggested various solutions.
