Description of 💦 Watts Premier Permeate Pump: Complete Install Kit for Optimal Performance (Model 560041)

Improves water savings and capacity of your current RO by using only the available energy from the brine water (i.e. no electricity required), the pump forces the purified water into the storage tank. This kit will fit a standard 4 or 5 stage unit, including the WP-5, WP-4V or the RO-Pure but NOT the ZeroWaste RO System or Booster Pump Technology. Improves recovery rates by as much as 400% and reduces waste water by as much as 80%. Can be easily retrofitted to upgrade virtually any existing RO system and the pump eliminates the need for hydraulic shutoff valves and can be used to replace booster pumps in well water applications. Includes quick connecting fittings, 1/4 inch and 3/8 inch adapters, hoses, pump, and bracket.

Reduce water usage by 5:1

I installed a Watts 5 stage reverse osmosis collector system with booster pump for my parents. The system works great and has enough pressure for the fridge ice maker and faucet and the recovery rate is very fast compared to no booster pump. However, my parents complained that the damn thing wasted so much water in the process. I added a permeate pump (keeping the booster pump) and the water usage was reduced by at least a factor of 5, if not more. The permeate pump is purely mechanical and…

Best way to improve your reverse osmosis system

This is the 4th of these pumps that I have used on 4 reverse osmosis systems installed in 3 different homes. The pump is undoubtedly the best upgrade for a reverse osmosis system. The pump uses the brine from the reverse osmosis process to briefly and periodically isolate the membrane's outlet and pump the collected permeate (water that has passed through the reverse osmosis membrane) to a collection tank and faucet. When reversing, the pump reduces the back pressure on the diaphragm and pumps…

Works well but the clicking is too loud.

I've had this installed since August 2014 and it does what it's supposed to do, but as others have noted it makes a pretty loud clicking noise (about 1 click per second when active). The clicks are reinforced under the cabinet and how the pump attaches to the side of the cabinet. I tried isolating it from the mount by hanging it from a rubber bike tube, but that didn't work in my case. I have a stainless steel sink and it lets more noise through than cast iron. In addition, the vibration of the

Permeate pump for pump accessories

After 6 months it's time to change the filters. Since I did this, the pump makes about twice as much noise as it originally did. Now from a click to a loud bang. I don't know what happened, but now it's MUCH louder. I have a 75GPD device so I think this is the right one. I would like to do something to make them quieter. Is there a QUIET permeate pump? Works well, a little louder than I thought but after reading other reviews I think it's to be expected. Improved performance and cycle time…

My ice cream maker thanks

I don't quite understand how this little pump works but it works. My ice maker in the fridge didn't have enough pressure. The line runs from the sink under the house back to the fridge. The ice machine had a tendency to make very small ice cubes at a very slow speed. Also, the water dispenser had a tendency to leak because the pressure wasn't enough to fully close the valve. Once this is installed, both the ice maker and water dispenser work great. There is also more water in the tank…

Yes, it clicks. No, it's not that loud if you adjust it properly.

This ERP 1000 pump is a pretty good match for any 100GPD reverse osmosis system but can get a bit tangled if all the hoses fit between the pump and filter system. The pump instructions show a generic, slightly confusing diagram. Just be patient, find all the connection points on the filter and you'll be fine. I didn't have to use any additional hoses other than those that came with the filter kit (express water) and pump, but it was very tight - I was almost out of spare hoses, even though I…

Just received and installed this pump. It's audible during operation, but not that annoying. It fills my tanks (only 13.2 gallons) very quickly. I have pressure gauges on the water supply and on the tank. A 50 gallon a day system would take forever to fill the tanks after exceeding 10psi. My TDS is now 3ppm higher and I don't know why. I'll know more when he's done filling the tanks. I have TDS at zero pressure on the diaphragm 9-10ppm and now 12-14. The tanks are still filling up. It was…
