Simple and Compact: Hard Drive Enclosure

This is the best SATA to USB adapter I have ever bought. It is a device, one connector when connecting 2.5" drives, and it uses a separate DC line for large 3.5" drives. The thing is fast. Read and write speeds take full advantage of USB 3.0 speeds, limited only by the characteristics and age of the connected drive. The blue LED not only indicates power, but also flashes when data is being transmitted. The SATA and power connection with the driver is stable and reliable. The only remark may be…

Set up quickly and worked great

This adapter was the best tech product I've bought in a long time. For ten years I kept a 160GB Seagate hard drive that I had to replace because it was damaged and no IT staff could access it to try and recover the several hundred images on it. Then I found an inexpensive recovery program that recommended I buy an adapter so I could connect the drive directly to my computer via USB instead of opening the box. Many adapters had mediocre or bad reviews, but this one was very positive. The adapter

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • No insurance

Handy gadget to convert SATA drives to archive, works great on Linux

I bought used SAS drives to replace my fleet of SATA drives because SAS drives are much cheaper. At the same time, I have many files, such as B. Old videos that I don't need regularly that would be better kept in an archive than involving and consuming hard drive resources. These USB->SATA converters are a great gadget. for converting SATA drives to archive. I like the compactness of this particular adapter. Because no drive case is included, the adapter itself is smaller, meaning it takes…

Decent throughput but quality issues with the included USB 3.0 cable

When first connected to a Toshiba 3.5" SATA III hard drive, the 5V delivered through the USB 3.0 port was negligible or simply unreliable. This caused detection issues with Windows 10, resulting in the device becoming unusable. After using my own USB cable, the drive was accessible. was 70-110 MB/s (megabytes per second) with small dips on average over time. This is not a hot swap adapter and will destroy the device if attempted and the instructions are not very detailed. The drive is connected

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Infinitely sluggish

My 8TB backup drive saved!

Thank god for this device. I bought an 8TB Seagate hard drive which I used to keep all my backup data in one place. Put all my files from my random drives onto this giant beast and then format the drives I moved just for the 8TB Seagate to become DEAD for me. It's only a month old and no noise, no clicking, just a power light. By pressing "F". I could replace the drive with a new one, but I need DATA, not just a new drive! I decided to do my own data recovery and opened the case. My plan was to
