🌀 Westinghouse Lighting #77075 3 Speed Fan Switch – Enhance Your Cooling Experience! Review

I have experience with wiring and electrics. I placed the wires in the exact same places. I have two off positions and two low speed positions. Bought two switches. Both did the same.

The chain broke in the original switch before all speeds worked. I photographed the wiring locations on the old switch and wired the new switch the same way as the old one. The new switch provided only off and low speed. Also, the wires weren't securely fastened in the switch. It looks like a poorly made Chinese clone.

This switch does not operate as advertised. Only works as a one-way switch and only slowly. I won't be returning it because slow is better than nothing. Also, I cannot return an item. If I now cut the wires connected to the switch, they are too short for the new switch. Edited Review: The switch has completely stopped working. Now it's a zero switch. I will try to return.

I have to say the customer service was excellent. If a part didn't work, the money was refunded. As I found out there are about 10 different types of three position switches. If you use the wrong switch, the fan will only run at two speeds, not all three. This switch didn't work with my old Hunter fan. I ordered a switch from SwitchCo in Lubbock, Texas and it worked. I didn't like the original. I bought this to replace the original Well Tec E118997 (3 position switch) which I pulled the cable out of and couldn't attach to the Hunter 21402. When this one arrived it had 8 slots for 4 wires (2 slots for L, 2 slots for 1 etc). Putting the wires in the same slots as the original gave me 3 speeds (OFF, LOW, and HIGH). This is probably the only replacement available online for Jinyou Part #E70469. The reviews by Fred Y and D. Register are very helpful. I definitely trust these reviews. Unfortunately that didn't work for me: the 3 speeds I had before are now reduced to one speed. I assume something happened to the condenser after I removed it to connect to Westinghouse #77075 as it controls the various fan speeds.
