will work; when you play the violin; Find a REAL (UL) certified electrical component and don't mess around!

I had to repair the switch or the speed control of the 3-speed luminous ceiling fan a second time. Because of the wiring to the capacitor and the block and house wiring, I needed an 8-wire selector switch. never mind Like last time. Westinghouse is now just a POS "brand license" situation when you see the name and think back to 40 years ago. Forget it. This isn't your father's Westinghouse production. I refilled all the wire ends as I removed them from the failed switch in the same position in the new switch. During this one on one process I found that one or two of the wires would slip out of their assigned positions with the little wiggle you would need for this process. I have returned the "loosened wires" to their correct positions several times and subsequent wire positions have also been loosened. Fight a half-dead octopus with Ini-Mini-Mini-Mo. All of my wire leads were straight and stiff with solder. All sensors were OEM. Still fighting the lazy octopus. Finally all the wires were clamped sufficiently to be "permanent" when the capacitor bank and pull switch were changed to their original positions etc. Two bayonet four and nine wire boxes connected to the main fan/light box and the test successfully passed exams. through four speeds (one off) and one light (on/off) and everything is stowed away. NOT impressed with the flimsy spring tabs used in this device. Needs to be too flimsy / not a real tension spring to hold tightly inserted tinned stranded wire lugs. I'm sure some people will gather just to make something work or break in later use and burn down their house with this POS. I've searched the product listing for the UL rating and found nothing and I didn't see anything on the blister pack that the device came in. SO, NOT UL certified. Save your house from fire and find the best switch!
