Replacement Switch for 3 Speed Ceiling Fan

Direct replacement for my 3 speed ceiling fan when my circuit broke. Make sure you label the 4 wires before you unplug the old switch. Easy installation with basic hand tools.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • old

Don't waste your money

Don't waste your money. Very bad quality. Requires voodoo or special superpowers to connect existing wires. Then the ports will not differ much from the original. I wish I had read the reviews more carefully before purchasing.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Can be used to control lighting.

Worked great. I used it to control the lights, not the fan. Low speed connected to a lightbulb; average speed is related to the other two; High speed is associated with all three: pull once - one light, pull twice - two lights, you pull - all three lights.

Pros
  • Complete set
Cons
  • Factor set

The derailleur works well: Traction chains

I'm no genius but if you're really unfamiliar with these derailleurs you'd better pay close attention to how you take them apart and put them back together when swapping them out . Each wire coming out of the fan should go into the correct slot to ensure you are switching the fan speeds in the correct order. Not me. So now when I pull the chain to change the speed, I have to skip to get the right speed. There seems to be an easier way to tell which slot on the switch you're plugging the fan…

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Good but not great

Low is pretty anemic for my fan

There's nothing particularly wrong with this switch, it really is a 3-speed fan switch BUT as another reviewer pointed out, it's not a direct replacement for the Zing Ear ZE-268S6 (which is what I was actually looking for). My fan is a Hunter and has a dual capacitor inside, both 5uF. When I connect this thing and match the colors of the wires to my original, I get HI, LOW, LOW. And if you look closely at the wiring and think about how the switch works, pull it once to connect port 1 to L…

Pros
  • Nice
Cons
  • I vaguely remember
