It's ugly and sucks at the only thing it does.

I spent an hour reading reviews of wire cheese knives because I love their aesthetic. I hate imagining another all-rounder on my kitchen countertop, but the knife is slow and hand-cut cheese isn't much better. Any wire cheese maker is subject to terrible reviews. I thought maybe the great reviews mean it cuts cheese amazingly despite its disgusting plastic base. It is not. picture attached. I will get rid of it completely as soon as I publish this review. Thanks for nothing!

Want a slicer? Get this.

DO NOT WASH IN THE DISHWASHER. I bought this to replace (2) cheese slicers that were wiry and couldn't stand our use. This cute gadget slices bread, meat, sausage, hard and soft cheese and comes out nice and neat. Use the gauge on the left and the small red tab on the right side of the blade adjusts the width of the cut. It's almost like a delicatessen slicer in my kitchen. My brother cut a very lean pork tenderloin into sandwiches. It was beauty. Whether you're making artwork, grating…

Won't cut, just crush what you put in

I have no idea how this ridiculously useless piece of plastic got so many good reviews. I had my doubts as soon as I took it out of the box - it looks like what you would expect from China but it claimed to be made in Germany so I decided to put it back in the box and it return it immediately to try it out. First I tried slicing pepperoni. nope It just clogged and ruined the pepperoni. My mandolin (which was actually made in Germany) made short work of the pepperoni. Okay, I thought, maybe the…

Slightly disappointing

Let me tell you the product works, you can use it to cut cheese. But as for getting really thin slices, oh good luck with that. Not at all suitable for cutting salami or sausage. The blade is straight, point-to-point-to-point, the lack of a slight curve in the blade causes it to rip through the sausage instead of slicing it. I'm not totally disappointed in that. But I'm not entirely happy either. It saves me some time and effort cutting cheese. Just don't expect it to be much thinner than 1/8…

Giant Cheese Slicer

This is by far the best cheese slicer I have ever used. He looks like a toy, but he's actually a champion. Right out of the box I used it to easily and safely slice (about 1/16 inch) 40 ounces. a block of Tillamook Colby Jack cheese (from Costco) in under 5 minutes; This includes the cleaning time of the slicer. This little slicer has outperformed my electric meat/cheese slicer and other manual slicers I've tried. It looks like a small paper cutter but packs a punch thanks to an easily…

Great Cheese Slice

I've had this slice for about a month now and I'm definitely glad I bought it. I got this after getting fed up with previous clippers constantly breaking wires. The blade makes cutting easy and even. If you want slices of cheese that are thin enough to let light shine through, this is your slicer. It can also make thicker slices throughout if you want. There are only two things I noticed while using this slicer. Firstly, when the blade is pressed against the cutting board when cutting, it can…

The best cheese slicer for me

I've been using this type of cheese slicer for about 40 years. This is an updated version from the same company. It is imported from Germany. The old one was in perfect condition, but I also wanted a replacement new one. The blade has been slightly modified but looks sturdy. I bought several for Christmas gifts for friends and family. Although it's advertised as a slicer for sausages, salads etc, I'd say it really does best with cheese. You can slice wafer-thin if you like, or thicker if…

I almost made a mistake.

.buy a cheese board with wire cutter. Yes, I wanted a fancy cheese slice with a marbled bottom. I noticed that while watching. Watched the video and sold it. After purchasing, I checked the reviews. Some have criticized the lightweight plastic base. Yes, it doesn't look elegant, but the price is very low for the performance. It seemed to me that some were unhappy that it didn't meet their commercial needs. Maybe they have a restaurant. For this price? Please! A few people have mentioned that it
