I love love love the idea of this brush and I was so excited about it. However, when I try to use it, it just slides through my hair with such force as if I were ripping my hair out of my head. I tried pre-combing and doing small sections but it was too difficult. 10/10 not recommended.

I have a mix of straight and wavy hair, very thick and coarse. And lots of it. Basically, my hair texture is like cheap dental floss. Drying my hair is always difficult, even with a Dyson blow dryer, and the end result is always super curly hair. I've tried some round and paddle brushes in the past but nothing has changed. I bought this after seeing my hairdresser use one. I have thick wavy hair and this brush is amazing. I can't say enough good things about it. Makes drying my mop so much easier! UPDATE: After only 2 months the pen started to stick. Now a thin layer of rubber is peeling off. It feels very uncomfortable in the hand. I've been a Wet Brush customer for over ten years and I'm disappointed at how quickly this brush fell into disrepair. It's still usable, but Wet Brush needs to find a way to fix this.

I have just used this brush for the first time and I am in love with this brush! I'm very picky about round brushes and generally prefer brushes with two types of bristles (like this one). I have quite thick hair that is currently being styled into an over-the-shoulder bob with bangs and this brush is the perfect size, gives me lots of volume and makes my hair smooth. If you are thinking of trying this brush I would highly recommend it.

As with most round brushes, it's difficult to find one that doesn't pull out tough 4c hair. This brush was better than the Spornette Touche boar bristle brush I ordered (Link: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002SIT1C), but both of them still pulled my hair a lot. I have tried this brush on dry hair and 4c wet hair. In both cases, I had to detangle my hair (to the point where I could pull a small-toothed comb through it) before I could use this brush. I bought these to replace my old round brush that I loved and I can't find a new one. Turns out I like this one better. It goes through my thick hair without ripping it out and seems to hold onto my hair better when I blow dry it. This is a good large size for smoothing while drying and adding a twist to the ends. Very happy with my purchase!

The brush works well, I didn't realize it was too heavy. My hair is also just below my shoulder so I was worried it would be too big but that's ok. I say be careful because that comb burned most of my hair. Luckily I'm wearing Weaving (well paid $1000 for this hair) but it melted while I was injecting myself.
