Description of πŸͺ“ GRAFF BLACK 4 1/2 Metal Cutting Diamond Cut Off Wheel - Angle Grinder Cutting Wheel - 60x Longer Life - 115 mm

UNIVERSAL - Our cut off wheel has CONSTANT DIAMETER that allows dry cutting of metal, rebar, iron, metal profiles, aluminium, different types of pipes and another sheet metals. LONG LIFE - According to the test results, GRAFF BLACK enables to make more than 3000 cuts. Increased lifetime of this cut off wheel is ensured by high-temperature plasma soldering and a new generation of diamond grit in the cutting segment. COMFORTABLE USAGE - Our cutting wheel is more comfortable in usage than any abrasive wheel: less sparks, no dust, no smell, no overheating. The diamond cutting wheel can be used for grinding burred edges that can leave after rough metal cutting. SAFE WORK - Due to special construction of the disc body made of high-strength steel, disc rupture is excluded when operating at high rotation speed (13200 RPM). CERTIFICATED - Our metal cutting wheel was certified by MPA Hannover.

You will love it.

So far I have used this blade with great success for cutting and severing a propane tank, cutting various bolts to 3/4, grinding welds, removing weld spatter, removing rust and stripping paint. I've gotten my money's worth with it for a few projects since I didn't have to keep switching circles for different tasks, and it still seems to have plenty of life. It cuts well, has a little notch, grinds just as well and definitely doesn't explode, pay the extra money.

Pros
  • Probationary period for one year
Cons
  • So-so

Diamond grit came off a few inch serrated disc

Was hoping this would limit the number of cutter wheels needed for a body repair on the FJ40, maybe a little less mess; Within inches of attempting to remove a plain section of 20-gauge steel fender, all of the diamond grit had come off the wheel (using a 4.5-inch grinder with a rack cable) and now I'm left with a smooth, unusable metal disc . dirt flying off the wheel is much more painful to the skin than a conventional grinding-type cutting wheel; Back to the tried and tested, I think.

Pros
  • Solid finish
Cons
  • Can't remember but there was something

Cuts Steel Like Butter

Yes, the title is spelled correctly. Advantages: The diameter does not shrink as with conventional grinding wheels. Cons: Doesn't cut. Given the cutting speed of this wheel, the "3,000+ cuts" of 12mm rebar claimed in the ad probably took 3,000 hours. The ad said they used 12mm (1/2 inch) rebar for the 3000 cut test, and later the ad said 【Hacksaw blade is not suitable for cutting thick metal】. I don't know how they define "thick", but it's useless for .187" mild steel and not much better for…

Pros
  • Outstanding Overall Performance
Cons
  • Weight

Wow, better than usual!

I had gotten to the point where I hate the smell of traditional (probably clay) cutting discs, had to find a solution and so far so good! I haven't cut a ton of steel with it yet, but it fits my 5" Matika perfectly and solves my issues with odor, exploding wheel worries, and the inconvenience of an ever-shrinking cut-off wheel that always has to be changed for the final project. I'll update , when I've used it enough to have some concerns about durability since I don't carve a ton of steel…
