Excellent collars. What did we use them for? My son has some stuffed puppies that he wanted collars for and I wanted to write down their names so we can remember them. You are perfect! He could choose a color for each pup and I wrote their names on them with a marker. The velcro also held up really well when he took them off the card and stuck them together!

These were the perfect temporary collars for our puppies. We received them about a week old and adjusted where necessary. I love that it comes with two sets. So if we lost a collar or grew one out of the one we cut weeks before trimming, we had a backup. Our new owners love this as they can easily tell which pup is theirs from a group photo. We had 13 puppies so it was nice to have a wide range of colors.

We used a set (2 pieces) when they were just born and trimmed them without a long thread. We were able to set them up in two weeks. They didn't bother or bother the little ones (German shepherds) and it was much easier for us and the new families to tell them apart. At 3 weeks we put them in a different set but as they became more active the shepherd had to hold them back. We ended up buying clipper collars but if we ever have puppies again we will have more!

I didn't expect these collars to work so well! First, they're really strong and slightly elastic so the mother dog won't pull them off and the puppies won't pull each other for them like you might worry - soft elastic collars don't stretch. get stuck in the fur, the way they attach to themselves leaves no velcro at all to hook into the fur.
