Great product.: Whetstones

Good quality item, only used once so far. The product does what it should. The bamboo base is beautiful and will not slide when placed on a flat surface. The 1000 grit allows you to sharpen knives with blades in decent condition. You might want to use 400 grit beforehand to get them there. The 6000 grit certainly improves cutting performance. Wonderful.

Works Great!: Hand Tool

I was hesitant to spend $60 on a whetstone since I've never sharpened a knife before (or at least not since I was scouting). So I went a little cheaper. and it's wonderful! The instructions are easy to understand and the application is very simple. I have a tradition of sharpening my knives on Sunday night and then starting the week's cooking. It's amazing the difference I can feel in a freshly sharpened blade. Excellent goods.

Great stone, poor accessories

The stone works as advertised. I had no problems with it and got the desired results. It dries quickly, so I often dip it in water when sharpening more than one knife. What doesn't bother me is the non-slip bottom and rubber foot. Both have a bad odor which I've noticed on several Chinese made rubber products I've purchased, from the plunger to the doormat and that whetstone accessory. The smell doesn't go away over time so I removed the base and rubber support. I have not tested the corner…

Useful for sharpening knives, block of wood arrived damaged

It was a pretty cool tool. After watching a few YouTube videos I was ready to use a whetstone to sharpen some knives. The sharpening stones worked well enough. With only the blue side, I managed to get the knives pretty sharp. It took me a while to figure out the right sharpening angle. I found the corner guide useless. I ended up just using the marker trick I found on YouTube. All in all it was a pretty relaxing activity. My only complaint was that the block of wood broke. One of the sides…

I impressed my wife and I! Not to mention how the oil in the kitchen reacted!

I was cautious when purchasing this combo stone because I watched some short videos on YouTube about the care, use and maintenance of the wet stone. I would sharpen my knives like the shorts said, but I couldn't live up to the ultimate expectations I set for myself. Great for the price and great for beginners.

I recently took this set to learn how to properly sharpen knives during quarantine and I have no regrets. The difference in the kitchen when I slice meat, fruit or vegetables is significant and definitely worth the effort of sharpening knives.
