Adjustable stopper, easy to assemble.

Just received today 12/11/2021, already poured a case of mead and planning to make some cases of wine. It was easy and quick to assemble. The device is basically fully assembled, you just need to remove the screw on the bottom of the device, place the stabilizing sacrum on the bottom and screw it on. Bottles on a pole that pushes the cork into the bottle. Worked great with the synthetic corks I used and will try traditional corks later. But this product is great and easy to use.

Wine Bottle Capper

Just received the Wine Bottle Capper. It's like an amazing high performance capper. When I received it in a partially opened package, I was a bit nervous, thinking some parts must have fallen out in transit. This was not the case. There are no extra bolts or screws, no manuals or assembly instructions. I was able to figure out how to do this from the pictures others have posted in the comments section of the Amazon site. Put simply, a screw on the bottom is removed and the red leg of the…

Professional quality results, smooth ride and slim profile

I delayed it due to two misconceptions: 1) that it would be too big for my New York apartment and 2) that it wouldn't be much better than a manual capper. I made a mistake on #1 and I was very wrong on #2. It takes a lot of effort to get the bottles right. The action is very smooth. I could literally do it blindfolded with one hand. The corks go in cleanly: even at the top without the unsightly dimples that result from hand-operated corks. When I'm not using them, they hide in the closet wall…

Don't waste your time and money on a manual cork stopper, buy one.

When I was bottling my first batch of wine, I bought a manual capper, although the owner of my local brewery advised me not to do so. He told me hand caps are tough and I hate them and he only sells them because newbies aren't sure they want to spend $70 on a bottom cap. He said everyone goes back and buys a bottom capper after filling their first batch with a manual capper. He was right! I hated the hand capper so I bought a bottom capper for my second batch and oh my god. It's very easy. It…

Large sampler for freestanding wine cabinets and racks

This sampler really makes the job easier. I wish they had instructions with them. I got most of the information about the operation from YouTube. The problem I had was how to set up the base, it wasn't that hard to figure out. The real problem I've found is that the bottom of the bottle gets blocked and it's difficult to move up and down the stem. Needs some lube. Also note that the lever (handle) MUST be pulled back a bit to allow the base to slide freely up or down with the lever remaining…

Works best on shelves and holders

Overall a good product that makes capping easier, especially if your bottles are the same. The reason I took off a star is that there were no instructions and the corks go in at different depths when using different bottles, sometimes requiring you to adjust the depth and then slide the same cork back or uncork the ones that are too deep went . The bottles are pressed against the top by a spring-loaded floor. All corks should go to the same depth (as set) regardless of the bottle, but they…

Good cork makes clogging *easy*!

This was my first attempt at corking and using this little red portuguese soil sampler made it super easy and almost fun! Cork will definitely last a lifetime unless I fall on it or get run over with my jeep. A nut brings everything together. Easy. Putting a cork in a bottle (and I've used larger #9 corks which were DRY) is easy with this capper. It simply inserts them into the bottle when you press the handle. If I ever felt resistance, all I would do was "shake" the handle a little and the…
