The tongue I ordered was too short to keep the door closed.

The product is not suitable for my application, the tongue is too short and does not hold my door closed, otherwise it is probably a good latch

Weatherproof Latch

boxes with lock for jeeps without lockable storage space. I've used a few but this one needed a touch of silicone lube spray to feel perfect. It's not necessary, I'm just picky. The lock can be swapped out if you want to use the same keys or use more secure round keys.

WW Replacement Trailer Door Latch

I wish this item was made exactly like the original that was delivered with the horse trailer 25 years ago. Made from very thin metal, the latch can last 2-4 years. The original latch lasted 25 years and was used almost 100,000 times by adults and children to open and close the pantry door. I'm not sure this bar will last even a tenth of that number of years.

A good option for replacing latches on older trucks

Bought 4 of these to mount the generators on an old fire control station. They are really almost the same size as the original but maybe 4-5mm narrower top to bottom so had to drill a bit to widen the old mount. Holes to line them up but worth it, the latches work smoothly and all 4 locked the same way, definitely worth the price
