Description of 🔧 Wolfride 1/2-Inch Shank Router Bit Collet Extension: Expand Your Router's Capabilities with this Adapter for 1/2-Inch Shank Bits

High quality, made of heavy-duty steel, sturdy and durable for long life. High concentricity and 1/2 inch shank diameter, don’t worry about wobble and bent. Overall length of the router collet extension is 3-1/4 Inch. Lever principle, the less the part of the shaft be clamped, the greater the force the shaft experienced, especially when the cutter head is big. So please ensure at least 3/4 of the shank must be inserted. Greater for that router table that doesn't quite extent to where you want it to.

Potentially dangerous accessory

Tried this extension with a 1/2 cutter. After installing it wasn't quite right. . So I turned the router on at 10,000 rpm for less than a second. Of course, as soon as the router was powered up, the mass of the router began to fluctuate. The drill has the extension and shank bent on the drill itself. I'm sure if he left the router running it would fall apart. This is a very bad and dangerous accessory.

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Everything OK

Do not buy if you are doing any type of heavy duty tracking.

I can't comment on the light to medium usage of the router, but for my purposes I wanted to use a fairly heavy router with a 2" leveling fit to correct some imperfections in the router wooden board. I have bought this product three times and have now sent it back. Each of the three times, the router extension was bent so much that it could not be used on a router without severe vibration. Great product in theory, but be careful when doing heavy work with it.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Available in white only

Do not buy! fits power tool parts and accessories

I don't usually write reviews but this is a must. I used the extension for 5 minutes and used the hair straightener to cut 1/8 inch out of the walnut. I did one side of the board without the extension, no problem. When I flipped it over, I used an extension cord. After 5 minutes of use the shank warped - this warped my router bit and now the quick release on my plunge router will not engage I have only used the router a couple of times and had no problems with it before. $350 in damage, not to…
