This is the second photocell timer I have ordered. This and the first were connected with small Christmas lights. Both timers allowed the lights to come on at dusk, but instead of leaving them on they kept going off and on. Tried to contact the Woods Company but the customer service phone didn't work and the email address was also a problem.

Bought this to turn my patio lights on and off at dusk so I don't have to think about it every day. It turns on at dusk and off at dawn! Only has 2 sockets, wish I had bought one with 3 instead! Planning to buy another one to add more lighting around our campfire! Reliable, weather resistant. Highly recommended!

This lighting timer is the easiest timer I've ever bought. I set it to turn on at dusk and turn off after six hours. The timer setting is very easy to use. In my case, you can have outdoor Christmas lights that turn on at dusk and stay on until dawn, or you can turn them off after 4, 6, or 8 hours with a dial on a timer. There are also two sockets for connection. BONUS!

This timer initially seemed like a good buy but the longer I used it the less satisfied I was. First, it won't work if your outlet isn't grounded. This isn't a deal breaker, but it's worth mentioning. After using this timer to control my Christmas lights for a month (dusk to dawn setting), the main switch is shorted and I have to be very careful when setting the control or it won't turn on as planned.

Love the timer, it comes with a right angle connector as shown. It's really easy to use, you turn the dial to the setting you want. I tested from dusk to dawn on and off. If you use the dusk to dawn setting it turns on a bit late, I find it closer to dark but it happens within 15 minutes of when I want to turn it on. I can live with it. In the morning it turns off. Let me tell you some of my issues with this item are related to my lighting setup. I hooked up some Christmas lights and set them to turn on at dusk and turn off at dawn, but when they turn on they produce enough light to confuse the sensor into thinking it's day so it turns on out. This black and orange model is of much better quality than the old all black bell models.
