Floor repair project: great job!

The paste doesn't seem to mix with the quickest application, but when we applied the polyurethane it almost disappeared. All the paper-thin cracks and gaps between the boards are gone. Our floors look great!

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Works very well but read my review for a hint.

This material works very well. The instructions indicate that to fill large gaps, it should be done in several layers. Instead, I pre-filled the gaps with sawdust, which I sanded off the bottom and then sanded over with wood putty. This gave me great results in a coat.

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • Weight

Good Wood Filler is the best hardware

This is a great product but if you don't follow the instructions you are doing double work. wood filler. Start with a small area. Apply as thinly as possible because after drying you will have to sand off the excess. We used the same grit (floor sander) to sand down the hardwood and excess wood filler. So if you use 40 grit sandpaper to start sanding, use 40 grit sandpaper for the excess filler. Once this is done, you can proceed to the next step. Take your time because the results are worthโ€ฆ

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Updates available

It crumbles in cracks and doesn't cope well with the stain.

Bought to fill numerous cracks in our 150 year old floor. came out in many places, crumbled in others and took the stain heavily. in general, this filler can be seen everywhere. not very impressed but if you have a lot of cracks this seems like the best value. Upgrade** Florist seems to have held up as expected, but we've found a better use for this filler. If you have a log home with bee holes, this is a great option. We patched holes in our log home and it took the stain well.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Some bugs

Wrong color arrived but Cheers works great

Original post said Red Oak. It's maple and ash. Very unhappy. This dries very easily. Nearly white. It is difficult to make this compound super smooth without mechanical assistance. I tried to make many different consistencies: liquid (water) didn't fill the gaps enough and got spread into many grain lines, there are many pieces left! Too thick to fill small cracks and also harder to sand down when dry. I used it on a large area of about 400 square meters. It took about 1/3 of the packageโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Easy install
Cons
  • Band

A good wood spatula to have on hand

We bought Woodwise powder to touch up discoloration in softwood. This is obviously a product for professional production or a big project like e.g. B. Floors. The stuff in a small can from a big store dries faster and has a nicer "bounce" to fill holes that are just a pride of sanding, but somehow we always end up with half-empty dry cans. To fill just two or three small areas and then throw the can away, this small can is enough. I like Woodwise litter for its low price, always-on convenience,

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Hard to tell
