Plug and play with Windows 10 Home. Cute!

I am really impressed with the ease of use and quality of this optical drive! I plug it into my Windows 10 Home tablet and it plays (and/or copies) without a second thought. Great price, ease of use and impeccable performance. Cute!

Works well so far with CD and DVD drives

I've only had it 1 day but it did what I needed. I had problems at first because I plugged it into the front USB port on my desktop, but after reading the instructions I plugged it into the back and everything worked fine. (The USB cable is very short and it is recommended not to use an extension cable for power reasons, FYI). I used it to extract images from a CD.

The product was rubbish.

Article did not work. Tested on Surface, HP Laptop and Lenovo Laptop. It will not be possible to read more than a few megabytes of data.

Does not work on MacBook Pro (2017, running OS 10.14)

The two models gave the same result. When I inserted the disc, a window appeared saying "This disc cannot be read by this computer". I've tried using the USB-C and -A ports to ensure that connecting via a direct connection or via a port isn't an issue. Different types of discs (blank, burned, store bought) gave me the same message. Sometimes the inserted disc didn't even show up and I had to unplug and reinsert the drive to open the drive. The model's specs say it may work on a MacBook Pro, but

That does not work. Would give 0 stars if I could.

Plugged into the computer, it starts up and allows you to insert a CD, and then nothing. I can't even eject the CD unless I turn it off and on again. There is a 10 second window in which I can insert or eject a CD. The manual is obviously written by a non-English speaking person and tells you nothing more than how to connect the device. There are no troubleshooting instructions or even instructions on how to use the reader. Will be repeated.

The device I received is not working on my 2019 iMac

When the device is connected to the computer via USB A, Disk Utility detects it but the disc I inserted does not play. and the disc will not eject. When the device is connected to the computer via the USB-C port, Disk Utility will NOT recognize it and the inserted disc will not play, but will be selectable. The website for the device is not provided. Overall very disappointed!
