I recently bought this microphone but it doesn't work at all. The transmitter with microphone should establish a Bluetooth connection with the receiver, but the blue light on the receiver will flash steadily, indicating a successful pairing (as instructed). I'm not sure if the problem is just with bluetooth or if the mic itself is defective. I've also tried this on multiple audio devices (stereo, two computers) and the result is the same. This mic picks up the instruments I've tried it on - sax, trumpet and accordion. The range is very good - I was able to get it to about 50 feet before leaving the house and losing the signal - and it comes through with good volume and clarity. I really wanted to show how this mic works, not just describe it. My idea was to record a few seconds of me blowing the saxophone and then show on the digital audio workstation that it not only picked up the sound but recorded it at a good level.
