Description of XtremeVision Flicker Resistor Decoder Error

Anti flicker resistor decoders are useful for vehicles that get a flickering or strobe effect when installing after market LED kits. 50w 6ohm resistor & capacitor built in to solve error messages. Resistors get hot when they are operating. We recommend that they be mounted on metal in a safe location away from important wiring. 100% Plug and Play. Includes One Pair (2) Load Resistors. Disclaimer: We can not guarantee it fixes all flickering issues, certain car models require different types of resistors/cancellers. Please contact us for support if you have issues.

worth your money!

I bought 9003 size LED headlights and H4 size LED fog lights for my SUV. With all 4 LEDs installed, the fog lights would not come on and the headlights would remain in bright mode. I only installed one of the anti-flicker/load resistors and everything worked perfectly. If you have such problems, you can have an LED headlight bulb and a halogen bulb to test and everything should work properly. This indicates that the LEDs are not loading the circuit enough.

Pros
  • Resistors get hot during operation. We recommend mounting them on metal in a secure location away from critical cables.
Cons
  • Some errors

Buster Poindexter doesn't mind.

I installed these 9005/9006 anti-flicker resistors on my 2011 Dodge Avenger 3.6 and they appear to work as advertised, but the gauge also says "these resistors get hot" which is a ridiculous understatement . With an ambient temperature of 80°F, my temperature sensor reads 365°F on the aluminum body of the resistor and 231°F on the wires. Thermal paste in an attempt to remove excess heat!

Pros
  • Built-in 50W 6 ohm resistor and capacitor to fix error messages.
Cons
  • No Power

HORRIBLE ASSEMBLY on spare parts

I bought these to replace my LED headlights to stop them flickering. Both load resistor wires are just shrink wrapped, they aren't even soldered together so they eventually get loose from the vibrations and they fall somewhere in my engine bay! Just ordered dummy load resistors and will solder them myself! 2 stars only for the fact that it worked fine when connected, but poor workmanship, like the electronics, needs to be soldered for a solid connection. So make sure when you buy them that they

Pros
  • Anti-flicker resistor decoders are useful for vehicles that get a flickering or strobe effect when non-original LED kits are installed.
Cons
  • Not sure
