If you search for the AVID MiniTracker I on Revain you will see this reading scanner, but do not buy this if your pet has a 9-digit AVID chip. He won't see or read it. It's a very nice car at a good price, but it doesn't help you if you have to go through customs in Europe with a pet that has a nine-digit number.

Works with all ICs I have tested. I recommend. *Update* no longer works after 5 months. Instead of returning my money and picking up the defective product, the company insisted on sending a replacement. I have already decided to buy another brand. It was an excellent microchip reader while it lasted.

I am very satisfied with this product, it arrived 2 days early, was well packaged and was exactly the product I ordered online. The scanner is quite small and light, easy to use. Scanning the chip between my cat's shoulder blades took seconds, and the black screen with white numbers was easy to read. Comes with a USB cable for charging. I recommend this product.

I have gained the trust of several stray cats who enjoy coming onto my patio and visiting my house cats through the screen door. I bought this product to scan microchips in stray/found pets and dead pets I've encountered hoping to find their owners. This scanner easily reads 15 digit microchips and is very fast. I was able to use it immediately to test it on my pets. It comes with a charger. Super easy to use. I recommend having your cell phone handy so you can snap a photo of the microchip number if needed.
