Used as bobbin thread for hemming elastic shorts. It didn't seem any better than standard filament and was difficult to work with.

Oh my god! Hand winding the bobbin has revolutionized my stretch sewing. I can use twin needles on the hem of spandex fabrics and it looks like store bought. Using regular bobbin thread for this type of fabric gives terrible results. I'm so glad someone on Pinterest provided a tutorial on how to use wool nylon thread.

I have been sewing in jersey for a few months and have been disappointed with the quality of the hems on the shirts I have sewn. I used a twin needle and the knitting continued to form a tunnel between the two stitches. I read something that suggested using wool nylon thread in a spool when sewing with a twin needle. I am very happy with the results. My edges now lie flat (mostly) even on very thin knits.

You need this for sewing stretch and knit fabrics! I ONLY use it on a spool - regular thread is on top! Insert the bobbin threader by hand while letting it wind very slowly so that it doesn't pull the thread too hard. This allows me to sew with a straight stitch (maybe a little longer) on my standard machine and not worry about the threads breaking. I also use the walking/constant feed foot, which is also great for knitting and quilting.

It didn't work at all on my overlock/overlock machine. I've only used it for the top and bottom loopers and even though I've restarted the machine a couple of times the looper threads (that stuff) keep breaking. This has never happened with Maxi-Lock Elastic Cord Cones. I will order them again in the future. Spending 2 hours sewing undoing half-stitches and threading the machine isn't my idea of entertainment, it goes in the bin.

Ideal for sewing swimwear and other 4-way stretch knits when used on a bobbin. Use a polyethylene thread at the top. This is tricky to put on a spool, just spray the end with hairspray and pull tight to let dry before threading. Glue works too. I use a machine winder for winding. Works perfectly. When I first bought it I didn't know what to expect. This thread looks like regular thread on a spool until you pull some of it out. Then it looks more like walking in tights. This is normal and this…
