I thought it was made from thicker PVC pipe. So it's a bit flimsy, but it survived the winter without wear. My husband is a size 13 and so is my son. He held boots and shoes with no problems. I just wish it was thicker PVC

This shoe rack was definitely too small for all my shoes. I was supposed to get a shoe box with ten shelves. It took forever to assemble and the instructions were difficult to follow. I sat there for a second trying to put it all together, but I ended up asking my dad to finish it.

So it takes a long time to assemble. No additional tools were required, but many parts required assembly. When I notice that some parts are missing. I thought I could still use it but the next day after assembling and without putting the shoes on the shelves. I could see a kind of curvature. So I decided to return it.

4 stars because of missing instructions. And by instructions, I really mean "ions" because the "how to" document was seriously lacking in instructions. But after a few glitches (3 different brackets and no real guide on how they should stand). We set it up in about 30 minutes. It looks great, holds shoes and other things. This was the biggest problem with the build. The instructions are not clear at all and the parts are obviously cheaply made. Some didn't match and it looked like the holes weren't completely cut. This product worked great. It fits my shoes and my husband's shoes, with extra room. It's not too bulky. And it fits exactly. However, let me say the instructions are terrible! This stand is fine. That's the best way to describe it. My husband and I are only staying in our current apartment temporarily before we move into our house. We needed a shoe rack due to the layout of the storage and closets and it works for what we need it for. I will definitely buy a better one in the future but it's good for the job. The side tubes are made of plastic, as are the connectors and the shelves are made of a material that falls somewhere between paper and cheap cotton. Was assembly easy? Not from afar.
